Totally agree. Used to enjoy it but it's just too negative for me nowadays. Come full circle coming back on here and much prefer it, has a nice chilled out vibe to it.

You got that far into it? Fair play, think my eyes would have melted if I'd gone any further than the three I managed. I find it to be like the opposite of RAWK and instead of not allowing any negativity they won't allow any positivity. Give Donald a bit of praise on there and there's a good chance of generating 20 pages of responses slagging you off. And then there's the banning of genuine fans while letting wums run round freely. Riv, Hank and Bristow are 3 I can think of from there who have been banned more often than not yet I see posters being deliberately antagonistic and **** all happens to them. Pile of ****e. This place may have less traffic but I'll happily trade that in for it being a lot more reasonable.

The traffic is mental compared to what it used to be. I don't have the time to catch up with every thread. <laugh>

Yeah part of the problem with RTG is you can't have a discussion anymore until 3,000 people have posted swearing and insults and abuse at the owners, players or other users. It's like the padded cell of football forums.

It's still a very good forum just has a lot of idiots on there. I mainly just use here for Sunderland football discussions now and just the SMB on RTG as there has been some brilliant threads in the past.

    PF is just crackers now...

Not think the lifts and speakers were used as a metaphor to show how bad things become over the last 10 years? Sorry, I said think..

I've not read it, but I'm sure that if the 'Doomsday Book' was ever revised, RTG would qualify for its own chapter.

So has the takeover been abandoned and we accept that the American investors have loaned Madrox £10M out of the goodness of their hearts, or are we allowed to read between the lines regarding their future intentions?

What do you think the last x amount of pages have been?

It's clearly more than just a loan otherwise we would've gone to a bank for that or as SD has said, Sartori offered.

There's more intent from the lenders and more strings attached and therefore more risk for the owners (but not the club). FPP have effectively dipped their toe in, we'll have to wait and see how things unfold in the coming seasons.

Don't suppose you lived in Wallsend and owned a chippy?

    I know there's a joke in there but I don't get it.
Don't think I've ever been to Wallsend.

    No joke at all mate.

My dad who died when I was young his best mate was called Ronnie and he owned a chippy in Wallsend I think it was.

They went to all the games together as best mates.

I can remember from when younger he had the Roker Park bricks and few signs plus his and my dads seat rebuilt into his back garden.

95% sure it was in Wallsend his house.
