I think McNulty might be away. A damn sight better than Grigg at the moment but doesnt get his chance, Leave O9 and anybody else is negotiable imo.
Good move for him to go back to Scotland for a bit. I'm sure he'll be back in England before too long I don't think he did his reputation any harm during his time with us, the people who matter will be aware what a difficult and thankless task it is managing Sunderland. Wish the bloke well I liked him from day one.
Hibs typically have some canny players but rough diamonds. Can see him doing very well in the SPL by getting them orgainsed and motivated against some average sides. He'll be a class above managers, outside of old firm teams (Aberdeen manager excepted,) and can see that making the difference as well as being able to get some good signings/loans that other average SPL sides can't. Good for him and good for them, good luck I say, shame it didn't work out with us but think he's a decent bloke and good manager. He'll do well for sure, good club Hibs too with proper fans
There may have been a couple of issues with that...I've heard he didn't want Grigg and we know he wasn't allowed to play contract rebels although I think that only boiled down to Kimpi which was no great loss. I'm not sure how much choice he had in recruitment as a whole, I'd guess that at best it was a case of do you want this free agent or that free agent for the same position, not exactly shopping at Harrods.
Nah it's just speculation. It's frustrating that it is just that in a way because he's probably getting **** for stuff that wasn't his fault. All you can say is that even top managers at top clubs get players signed for them against their will so it wouldn't be surprising if a manager for a cash strapped league one side did.
Good luck to him as he’s a decent bloke. Shame it ended how it did but **** happens, he’s still an alright fella. Hope he does well.
How do you work that out. They'd be lucky to scrape 5k on a league game unless they play rangers, celtic or hearts. We easily compete for players with them and I'm very confident we pay better wages. Where they are now is as good as it gets
Alright fella. Just advocates negative eye bleeding football. Spits out more cliches than an american tv series. Glad he's gone but wish he'd gone last may. Doubt he could organise a subbuteo team. Safc was far too big a job for someone of his limited ability
The A1 is going to be packed (even more than normal) for Hogmanay, as it includes an exodus of Ross signings from SAFC.
Good luck to the fella, I reckon he'll be a successful manager in time and probably learnt a lot from his time here.
