I’m gonna stay onside with him for now. He sounded a bit nervy, understandable, but as always he sounded like he was genuinely trying to answer the questions.

Tbf we've had mixed messages about finance ever since he bought the club. Personally I think he's a decent fella with good intentions, but up to this point he has been a bit out of his depth.

 

Thought he came across well TBH. Glad he came out and said something. Now we need to get it right on the pitch

 

I said the same further up the thread. The PR has been a joke. The reality is though you believe what he’s said or you don’t. I do for now.

They both talk far to much about far to much. I also do not believe for one minute that they fully understood what they were walking into.

 

He could do with a PR and marketing man who actually knows how to get people onside and engaged, not just an old pal.

Charlie boy has totally alienated himself on more than one occasion, you don’t grab the rattlesnake by the tail, the fans are the club.

He’s welcome to fire me a PM if he’s reading, I have relevant skills and would work for the club in a heartbeat

 

I'm not surprised by any of this because it was the only thing that made sense. I don't get why Methven said there was no financial tie with the Americans and the club or however he put it, I don't know if he was trying to reassure us that the club wouldn't be at risk of financial trouble as a result of it and misspoke or what.

Whatever, I'm happy enough as it's the first step of what we all wanted.

 

CM is just the wrong type of bloke to try and pull the **** he does in the NE. We see people like him coming from a mile off...

Stu genuinely seems a decent fella, whereas Charlie seems like a pompous wee man, trying to tell us all he’s doing is a favour.

Imagine the fans of a football club reacting to their club going to ****. At least Stu straight out said ‘shoot at me about performances and manager’. Ill advised a month after appointment but genuine at least.

They need someone promoting and PRing the club who understands the history, the region, and the depth and sway of opinion a club so integral in so many a life drives.

You need to manage the highs and lows, the calm and the fiery, the intelligent and the less so.

Its got to be someone from the region who stands up by Stu and relays the goings on.

Encouraging news. I think things may have slid too far for Donald to get us back on track, but we'll see soon enough.

If this makes any kind of difference on the pitch I'd be amazed, until January rolls around. I ****ing hope it does, but we got rinsed by Coventry last season.. hey ho

 

Isn't all of this stuff that Donald has just come out with exactly the type of stuff @Smug in Boots was saying weeks ago I.e
Long term investment 10 to 20years and investment in the local area???

 

Meanwhile on RTG people are simply making stuff up as they have polarised themselves so much.
