In very simple terms though, the club can’t lose, as if the owners **** up they take control. So, spinning a positive (are you reading PR whizz Charlie...) the supposed worst case scenario is we are owned by the Americans, which is what we all hoped for. It’s just yet more evidence, and it’s mounting up, that Donald has no money and is winging it. What the **** did the EFL do as part of ‘fit and proper’.
so Stewart donald etc cannot afford to run our football club in other words, and how can you borrow if you don't know how much it will cost to get promoted at present we need to spend about £15m in January on players alone, so we will fall short, but we have the 30,000 a game coming in i suppose. We do not have players coming out of the academy which we can sell on, and we need more big concerts. How did Man c, Chelsea did it but we can't ? after 40 years of dross someone might feel sorry for us hopefully. If we get through to the f a cup 2nd round lets get 48,000 vs Doncaster ? at a tenner a ticket nearly half a million for the club. do people realise we CAN do that we have the support, an lets do it in the league, lets show the world we have fantastic support, so i call on all supporters to get to the Coventry match and sell that game out i am buying my ticket on line tonight. The potential is massive for us and any would be owners know that.
‘So if you have the money yourselves why didn’t you just put it in’ ‘Blame us for the manager and what’s happening in the park but it’s not fair to call us chancers’. Worst deflection ever, question unanswered and shat on his own month old managerial appointment. Its mind boggling listening to this fella. Now prattling on about concerts and ‘bringing money into the whole region’. Erm, what?
Put my mind at rest, worst case scenario is the American billionaires take full control if Donald and co. make a pigs ear of it.
He does make the very valid point that defaulting on the loan negatively affects the owners of Madrox, they lose their money and the yanks take whole control of the club.
I don’t understand the way he’s trying to explain this at all. He is still using the word investment, a loan is not investment. He’s just stated he put in £20million of his own money, but aren’t we clear that isn’t the case? Isn’t this another contradiction? If he had, they are surely hiding another massive black hole, as either that money, or the parachute payment, is awol. That said, what he’s saying works for me ‘we either get it right or the Americans own the club’. So it really is win/win.
Dig it out well at the end mind, I like his chain of thought that they are long term and looking at a wider investment than the club, I do believe him when he says he never budged on price. I guess we see how this money is used and what we do in January.
Juan is still very much involved as SD said, he could have put the money in but they want the FPP involved and more importantly FPP want to be involved. Ronnie
My opinion of him remains the same for now. Decent bloke but a tad naive, I believe he wants us to do well and it’s more than just money. He knows how big we are. hope I’m right anyway
I believe him personally. Getting these blokes to the table is the main thing. As he says him or Juan could have put it in but the contacts these fellas have will open loads of doors hopefully.
I will say, and I stand by this from day one. I still think his intentions are and have always been genuine. Maybe just bit off more than he can chew. If this arrangement smoothed that over I will gladly say fair play and well done. He nailed one bit, ‘if we get it right on the pitch these thing all become a smaller issue’. Absolutely right. Where we walking the league, would we give a **** what he was up to as long as club was stable?
