perfect1.jpg Good Morning. It's Wednesday 13th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Cooper in race against time to be fit for Luton outing

Liam Cooper has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan with a groin injury he sustained during Leeds 2-1 victory against Blackburn at Elland Road

The Leeds captain underwent scans after the match last Saturday which revealed a small tear in his groin area.

The injury is “not thought to be major and he will work with staff at Thorp Arch with a view to being fit following the international break.”

    Clarke to Forest in January?

Nottingham Forest are believed to be in talks with Spurs about bringing Jack Clarke to the City Ground in January. The 18 yo is yet start a league game for the Whites this term which has caught the attention of Forest gaffer Sabri Lamouchi who is in need of pace and firepower up front.

Meanwhile former Leeds ace, now Soccer pundit believes Noel Whelan believes that Bielsa and Pochettino are close, and will be keeping the Spurs Manager up to date with developments over the 18yo.

“From what I’ve heard about Bielsa, he will be in talks with Pochettino regularly about Clarke,” “Bielsa will be telling him what’s going on in training, Clarke’s attitude, performance and effort, and why he isn’t in the side

“They know each other well and Pochettino will be getting the full picture of what’s going on.

“Tottenham sent him back to Leeds because they trust Bielsa’s ability to develop young players. Jack Clarke is now third or fourth in the pecking order for the right wing role behind the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Helder Costa.

“Is Jack going to get in ahead of those two? No, he’s not. He’s going to have to bide his time and win the manager over in training.”

“I very much doubt he will be called back to Tottenham,” “He is far more likely to go out on loan elsewhere, and be given the chance to play more regularly.”

Would you be happy for Clarke to join one of our promotion candidates?

Are Leeds missing a trick by not selecting the 18yo?

Casilla granted extra 15 days to try and prove innocence

Kiko Casilla has been granted a two week extension from the FA to respond to his recent charge of racist language.

An application was made to the chairman of The FA’s judicial panel by Leeds Utd, and the extension was granted as a result.

What does Casilla or Leeds Utd hope to benefit from a two week extension?

    Morning all...

Casilla, they obviously have no evidence other than hearsay from the accuser otherwise why offer 15 extra days and that in itself is a joke, not 15 more days to prove he did anything wrong, it’s for Casilla to prove his innocence?

I hope the club fight this one tooth and nail. In regards to Clarke, he lost form after the health scare, he comes over like he is a “Big I am” so he can go, we got our money, dump him in the U23s with no game time and let Forest spend a few weeks getting him match fit and sharp

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Kiko will be putting together a full defence which will include statements and evidence from managers, players he has played with and against from around the world. The club will be backing him and as Kinnear said last week the FA use "balance of probability" rather than proven facts when deciding these cases. Gone is the human right of innocent until proven guilty, which is a joke when a career and reputation is at stake. I hope Kiko threatens the FA and forces it to change its rules. No evidence or the word of an upset player isnt evidence

Clarke has been a waste of space this season and even in the U23s he hasnt looked interested at times. Bielsa says he is improving but not seen it on the pitch yet. Hope the kid turns out to be a world beater but dont see him challenging for a place here, now

Morning all. Thing I don't understand about Clarke is he's got on the subs bench many times but can't get five minutes on the pitch. If he's that useless why are we not promoting an u23 to that spot? Are we that short on quality?

think some of the problem with the bench is the 5 loan rule. Meslier or Clarke are usually discarded because Costa, White, Harrison, Eddie are usually deffo in the 18 squad so either Clarke or Meslier binned

Understand but that's my point. Why is Clarke being included at all. Clearly not good enough to get a run out. Surely limits options if a passenger is sat on bench

You & I both know we are short on quality Eire

Our subs bench has been littered with fillers for the last season & a half with little prospect of certain named subs unlikely to get any minutes.

And when they are called upon in second half of season through injuries, suspensions or fatigue, results will begin to drop off again. Squad strengthening a must in January but not a hope in hell of it happening

Nketiah, Pablo, Berardi, Costa, Shackleton have all had several spells on the subs bench, I agree sometimes it looks bad but I remember thinking at the start of the season when have we ever had around £65m+ of talent sitting on the bench in Costa and Nketiah alone

If clubs only worth 80 to 100m, the rest can’t be worth a lot if those two are 65m <doh><whistle>

This is the stupidity of the FA and why I fear for Kiko. This ruling on Silva is a joke because it was a joke between 2 very good mates and the moral faux outrage it caused is actually now just plain identity politics. This is the same identity politics that has screwed up everything in this country and now it infects football. We need the Fa to grow a pair and tell the media and luvvies to **** off

There are very few racist people in this country and for the ones that are you won't find them on a football pitch and very rarely in a ground, the Silva ruling technically means its ok to compare a persons likeness to a image as long as he/she isn't black and don't get involved in a spate/argument with a black person on the football field as even with no witnesses you can be accused of racism which could damage or totally ruin your career and good character.
In theory the do gooders are introducing a form of apartheid as you are potentially risking it all by having banter/arguments with black people.

    Totally agree
Maybe we should all identify our ethnicity so that we know who we can have banter with
