Once again I must say I agree. Thinking about it, if they do appoint Harris, it's the easy option and they haven't looked very hard.
Rob Philips just said on radio wales Dalman is “looking for evolution not revolution.” He suggests he plays the Warnock way but not quite so direct. IMO a step backwards and as you rightly say they’ve not looking very hard.
Now that is going from the sublime to the ridiculous. I wouldn't give that commie, terrorist loving, free spending, over taxing tw@t the skin off my sh1t. To balance things up I hate Boris also. Not that I have any strong feelings.
Just wondering if the chuckle brothers aka Blackwell & Jepson are also gone? Haven’t read anything about them. Plus Dibble? (I’ll never understand the real need for a GK coach)
Whoever comes in will surely want his own staff around him? I'd have thought it was the end of the road for Blackwell and Jepson - if not, big mistake. Can't help feeling that this whole affair is being conducted in haste. Take time and get the right manager and his staff in for the longer term.
We've probably got a month to get someone in. That would give them a few weeks to run the rule over the squad and prepare for the January window. Edit - won't need that long apparently. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50383009
Don't see the point in rushing into Harris just because he's out of work and available. This needs to be a much longer process given as the Warnock departure seemed so sudden. We've panicked bought players in the past - FFS don't do that with a manager. Bad purchases of players can be a short term fix, but a manager is much longer term proposition and needs some planning. The club knew Warnock was going at the end of the season anyway, so some sort of preparation should already have been made.
Bamba odds are shortening despite his current lack of coaching badges. Maybe a lot more to this because the club mentioned yesterday about a "director of football" role. Whoever that might be would have the badges to do the job in the meantime whilst Sol got his.
Hope this third candidate seriously makes them review putting Harris in charge. However, that would be classic City - taking one step back rather than forward. Tan’s current managerial appointment record is 1 out of 4 and I can’t see that improving (Christ I’m negative )
I reckon this "3rd candidate" is non other than our very own Sol who had this in mind for the end of the season. Warnock jumping ship prematurely has thrown a spanner in his works - no wonder he was so upset when Warnock chucked it in immediately....
Possible unpopular opinion coming up, but I don't think Bamba would be the end of the world, he's one of the most passionate people I've seen down the City in recent times, has a great rapport with the fans and loves the club. Get him some badges under his belt and I reckon he'd be a huge success. ... However, that being said, his lack of coaching experience / qualifications etc is a massive risk, it could either be genius, or disastrous - no in-between
