It's been suggested that the graphs on the Lib Dems' election material are remarkably economical with things such as fact or the truth

I don't know where people get this idea, look at what plopped through my letterbox yesterday

Boris Johnson ****ed up laying the wreath on the Cenotaph yesterday, placing it upside down.
It's a minor gaff and would probably largely pass without notice, let alone comment. Sums up his half-arsed attitude, but that's about it.

    So what's the problem?
The BBC reused 2016 footage of him instead of showing it, then called it a production error when they got called on it.
It's nice to have a national propaganda channel, isn't it?

Small errors like finding a clip from three years ago and splicing it into the footage...

My thoughts entirely today especially when the armed forces seemed to be "today's election broken promises". Apparently Boris wants to rework the law so that veterans can't be prosecuted for stuff that happened in Northern Ireland years ago, and the defence secretary points out that they armed forces have effectively had a paycut for years so we should pay them more. If they were really interested in that, it could already have been done!

Funnily enough, the BBC going full North Korea isn't going away...

He's paying for both, so it's hardly surprising. Getting good value for money, though.

And of course Emily Thornbury has the immense problem of deciding which one of her 5 houses to invest in.

Amazing how politicians only listen to the people around election time. Perhaps we should have 4 elections per year.

Not necessarily: the BBC will conveniently lose all footage of the public booing you out of a building if that's what you ask for...

Do the BBC still exist? I went cold turkey on them about 6 years ago.

Yes and no: yes they still exist, but they appear to have been taken over by the North Korean state broadcaster

The Tories have picked Chris Davies as their candidate for Brecon and wherever despite him having previously been ousted for faking invoices in his false expenses claim for which he was convicted in a criminal court this year.
Apparently it's time "to move on".
And you thought they couldn't stoop any lower.

Having realised that Canterbury is an ultra-slim Labour marginal held by a pro-Remain MP, Tim Walker has announced he will be stepping aside and will support the incumbent Labour MP...only for the Lib Dems to promptly say that if Walker won't stand they'll simply drop somebody else in instead

On a similar subject, the penny seems to have dropped with the Greens what Heidi Allen's remain Alliance is really doing: the Greens get to fight the constituencies where Labour had massive majorities two years ago while the Lib Dems aim for the marginal seats, which has already seen the Green candidates step down in Bristol West to support the Labour candidate, while the Green candidates for the Tory marginals Calder Valley and Filton & Bradley Stoke have also stepped aside and pledged support to Labour - or to put it another way, the Greens have been showing a better grasp of diplomacy than the Lib Dems have, yet they're the ones expected to be compliant partners

Vote Monster Raving Loony. Why stand down candidates in any seats when one can sit down in a seat like any normal person would?
