We are spoilt for choice, I’ll give you that. A bloke who lies in his sleep and says **** business, supported by someone thinks it’s 1750 - or a thick failed private school boy who thinks it’s 1970 again, presiding over an anti Semitic party, who want to ruin the economy just as well as they did in Venezuela.

I'm not sure that's altogether a good thing for the Tories. Farage is not going to contest the seats the tories already hold but will stand against labour in seats the tories need to win and so potentially splitting the leave vote and letting labour retain those seats?

London financial is now bigger than it was before the Brexit vote :emoticon-0137-clapp

It has extended the gap between itself and the rest of the European Financal Centres and New York.

Business needs fook all from politicians except certainty.

Boris' deal may not be perfect, but once he gets it over the line Britain really will be Great again :1980_boogie_down::1980_boogie_down:

...........or winning those seats and then a coalition with the Tories, giving the BREXIT party a big say. Good or bad, what do you reckon?

I see where you are coming from. If there was a need for a coalition between the BREXIT party and the Tories in order to get a majority I can't see that going well for the UK leaving with a deal. I suspect the headless BREXIT party, Farage will definitely not be an MP, would be buoyed by their success and lean towards a no-deal exit as would some in the tory party resulting in potentially more splits and discussion. Alternatively they would just tell the tories they can do what they want with their full support, unlikely. Then whatever sort of deal is done to exit the EU the BREXIT party are still there for another good many years influencing what the government does on every facet of life, not a good prospect in my humble, but whatever floats their boat.

If I was in the UK I would be seriously asking why I would want to leave one of the largest trade/political blocks in the world that has global influence and clout and I had a say in to go it alone and become subservient to their former trading block partners and neighbours, the EU, the USA or China.

A question to the leavers as I honestly do not understand . Apart from the, "taking back our borders, making our own rules" rhetoric what tangible, financial, political, cultural, military, economic or social benefits do you envisage from leaving the EU? I'm not on a wind-up I just can't see what the advantage is in leaving. Please don't say the $350m a week as even if it were true it really isn't a significant amount compared to total annual UK government spend of £847 billion, about 2%.

Labour will lose a lot of seats in the North of England, who voted to leave, traditional Labour voters who won't vote Tory, but will vote Brexit party, taking votes off Labour allowing the Tories to win many seats.

We get to trade with both, we take the good bits off the EU, and ditch the crap, while at the same time, making new deals with others. So I take it you feel like China's lap dogs in Australia with not having the EU to control you.

That's not really an answer. Australia is very reliant on China and there are issues with that but geography is not adjustable you lot are in a plum position and yet you don't see it hence the question about what you hope to gain.

Ok I can see that but I think, I hope, voters will see beyond the fog of leaving the EU and perhaps consider "then what?" or am I just being optimistic?

Of course it's an answer, we take the good bit's off the EU,and can trade without restrictions, with the rest of the world. Will take 3-4 years to sort things, but after that we will be much better off.
Germany took in 1 million Muslim refugees and crime, rapes and Murders have shot up, within 3 years they can get EU citizenship and come here, just one of the many EU crap bit's we don't want.

But apart from Germany, which by the way isn't the UK, taking in whoever and things happening there that aren't good what do you as a UK citizen hope to see as a benefit from leaving the EU in real terms?

Then you have the BREXIT party as an influential part of government. Hey if you think they are any good at saying anything other than "out means out" go for it, not my problem.

You're a bit out of touch with reality over here, don't think Brexit party will win any seats at all, but they will win seat's for the Tories by taking Labour votes.

Because of our NHS and Welfare system we are a magnet for every no skilled migrant in Europe, we need migrants, but skilled and better quality one's not the cast offs that Europe doesn't want.In time we will be much better off, 3-4 years of lower growth in exchange for a better future.

Aye, because you need a degree to pick fruit or harvest cockles, don't you? <doh>

The main reason the majority come here is that these crap jobs are available because Brits choose to collect benefits rather than take these jobs.

So who's going to do the dirty jobs now? They still need done, & successive governments haven't sorted out the Brit malingerers who live on benefits, so they're not going to do it.

We will continue to need unskilled immigrants because as a country, we're too lazy to do the dirty jobs ourselves when such cushy benefits are available. There's no escaping that fact.
