It's Monday 11th November, and here is the latest news from Elland Road. Bamford back on the scoresheet as Leeds record back to back victories Patrick Bamford scored his first goal since August, albeit from the penalty spot as the Whites secured back to back victories. The Whites dominated for large periods, and once against the opposition scored from their only shot on target. Do Leeds ned to capitalise on their dominance, if they are to reach the Premiership? It would be fair to say that the penalty decision was soft, but due to the amount judgement calls that go against the Whites week in, week out, we were bound to get one in our favour sooner or later. You could tell by Bamfords reaction that the goal meant a great deal to him, and it looked like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders as he celebrated in front of the Kop. Five minutes later Bamford turned supplier. He controlled a long diagonal ball before calmly feeding Harrison who struck the ball into the back of the net (via the post) to give the England U21 winger his third goal of the season. Leeds frailties from set pieces once again became apparent when Rovers were awarded a corner five minutes before half time. Blackburn centre back Derrick Williams rose highest to reduce the deficit. Leeds continued to show their superiority in the second half, but were unable to add to the scoreline. At least Blackburn didn't either!!! please log in to view this image Leeds join race for Ayala Leeds have joined Fulham and Stoke in the race to sign Boro Centre back Daniel Ayala in the January transfer window. The 29yo started his career in Sevilla's youth system when Victor Orta was starting out at the Spanish side. Orta also worked with the centre back at the Riverside Stadium. Ayala has played 161 times for the Smoggies netting 17 times. His 6ft 3 frame would certainly come in handy defending set pieces! Could Woodgate be looking to cash in on one of his prized assets knowing that the Spaniards contract comes to an end next Summer? please log in to view this image Post Match Press Conference
Good result on Saturday, soft penalty, Ayling lost his player for there goal!! Ben White MoM for me, this lads reading of the game, positional play and passes from the back are exceptional for his age, just hope Ayala interest doesn’t mean he is going back to Brighton in January, this lad is quality and got some future in front of him, BUY him Orta NOW.
Morning all... Undefeated in five and an International break which gives us an extra week to get a few players nearing a return. I’m on the same page as Eric, if we’re looking at a defender joining it probably means the signs are not good in regards to White. We have to keep it in mind that we’re approaching the time of year now where agents will be releasing a ton of false stories to drum up interest in their players.
Morning all. All been covered so far. Soft penalty, big goal for Bamford and a great move and finish for second goal. Another drawback to loaning players we’ve never faced before as they were usually ****e. If they perform a la White and Eddie their parent clubs end up recalling them mid way through the season. White will hopefully finish the season with us
I'm expecting White to finish the season with us and join on a four year deal as we will be promoted. I can provide small quantities of what I am smoking if required.
Morning all Bamford and White MOM Saturday Ayala can go do one and has had a really bad knee injury earlier so not sure Bielsaball is for him some fantastic words from Mowbray about Bielsa in the YEP especially on Spygate and what he could do in the Premier League
Bamford showed tremendous courage, stepping up taking that penalty, if he had missed the pressure he is already under would have increased 10 fold, perhaps a very big moment in turning things around for him, as the control and vision for the second goal showed what a bit of confidence can do. Hopefully now he can score in the next game from open play and build him up even more. Ayala is a thug, gives away a ridiculous amount of free kicks in dangerous areas, which is a shame as he is also a very good player when he's in the right mood. I'd rather we look elsewhere if we are in the market for another CB, which I'd be surprised if we were, unless White is going back.
Good Morning to Matt and co froma dull Bardsey Soft penalty perhaps our luck is turning at last I don't like Ayala in fact I loath him .He his a thug and someone who tries to get his opponent booked with his antics Liverpool must be odds on to win the title now after yesterdays results the magpie cafe was pictured in Fridays Daily Mail on Sirius Minerals lets hope for the peopleof Whitby get the finance they deserve'It will create 1000 jobs for 100 years
Yes we do need to capitalise on our dominance, we should have won that game 5-1 Pleased for Bamford even though it was a soft penalty decision, I take that as we've been robbed of several nailed-on penalties in the past Ayala is a big strong CB, a dirty git tbh. Unsure he is Bielsa's type of ball-playing CB although the Boro' connection seems to be a happy hunting ground for Orta.
Cooper not joining up with Scotland so he gets chance to get fit again for us. lets hope Klich has some down time and Alioski too. Eddie surely wont be with the U21s but Roberts going to Wales
Morning all, Forget this White / Ayala scaremongering. Why are Leeds fans such sponges for sh1te like this? So easily wound up. White will not be recalled in January. Only 2 things would get him recalled - being required to play for Brighton, or someone wanting to buy him. For the former, are Brighton desperately needing a CB? If so, will they want to take a chance on someone untried in the PL? I think not. For the latter, only a PL club can afford him, and only Liverpool have been associated with him (allegedly). If you were White, would you want to bench-warm, perhaps for a number of years in the PL, or continue with your purple patch in the Championship, playing every week, & becoming a legend? I think he's a player, rather than a Green-like money-grabber.
Radz will never be able to afford White but he may just be able to scrape up enough to purchase an eighth from you.
