Just watching post match analysis and I agree with souness atm Also listened to robbie savage on 5 live been some mental stuff said Pep out being the best - wtaf !!!
What exactly do you think Sterling did? Other than getting through once and squatting it to no one, I can't remember him doing anything. He saw a lot of the ball and longed dangerous but he didn't actually do much in the end.
Personally I thought Sterling let the situation get the better of him He was trying too hard - his final decision was what it was when he was younger, passed when should have shot, shot when should have passed. Was it him who had the altercation with Robbo
Something that will make me smile for a long time, the memory of walker getting all pissy and robbo wondering off laughing and shrugging his shoulders.
He basically said the pen didn’t matter (having watched it loads silva actually leans into it to push it across) the defence had the chance to clear it and they didn’t He also says that things don’t even out over season Also pointed out they have run out of full backs that he wants to play He highlighted angelino for getting back into position and leaving fab unchallenged for first goal And he is right Savage was saying that he believed even if we had gone behind that we would have turned it around as we have done for last few weeks Goals change games and none of us will ever know Very good game to watch tbh now I can take my bias away to enjoy it Hope we don’t think we have won title We have some tricky places to go in next two blocks - selhurst always a nightmare and Everton will turn in a performance against us - guaranteed Also worth noting bbc didn’t show our shot that hit the city players hand in the highlights But tbf they did not spend ages on the handball
Right, so PGMOL tell BBC that Siva's accidental handball doesn't affect the decision on Trent's handball, thus giving Shearer the opportunity to eagerly jump in say it should have been a pen (quelle surprise). So two scenarios for the PGMOL - what happens if Trent misses the ball completely and it goes to Sterling who slams it in the net? What happens if it comes off his arm and into the path off Aguero who slams it in the net? And if you get chance, check out the 'Unnatural' position of not just Trent's arm, but everybody else's arms in that frame when the ball rebounds off Silva.
I think Robbo could be one of those annoying little ****s if he's not on your team, the type you'd happily smash. I love it
True and I said that for quite a few seasons. We've got our fair share of them now though; Robbo, Fabinho, Milner, Trent (based on today), Hendo, Bobby, Lovren and maybe VVD at times too.
I thought Alisson seemed at bit too relaxed at times today, he was making me nervous! With the state of his hair, he had a 'only just woke up' persona today
The "unnatural" position thing makes me laugh. Your arms are in all sorts of positions as you try to keep your balance in those situations. Imo, it should only count if you make some sort of star position, clearly making yourself bigger, or if your arm deliberately moves towards the ball. Perhaps everyone should wear strait-jackets? Even then you'd probably get done for waggling a finger at it.
I suspect very few trophies are won by anyone without a few disputed calls going in their favour in the run up.
Massive 3 points! it’s a shame everyone is just focusing on the handball because that was a brilliant game against the two best teams in the world. city are a remarkable team - the way they play football is breathtaking at times. But we were simply more clinical. The handball decision was correct - Silva handballed it first and it doesn’t matter If it’s accidental or deliberate. Therefore Trent’s wouldn’t have counted. These are the new rules. I have no idea why Sky didn’t pick up on this. I thought everyone in our team played really well. No one let us down. We are a ****ing special team. Enjoy it while it lasts - we’re the best team in the world at this moment in time.
