Excellent performance I thought. It was very professional - no need to play at lightning pace when you’re 2 up against City, that would be ridiculous game management.

Klopp got it spot on today, everyone worked their socks off. Anyone trying to suggest a waved away hand ball appeal was the difference is talking ****

Sterling had Trent on toast all day today. He absolutely did.

Just listened to 5live phone in and a fair few people, including 'experts' on the match programs, are all saying it should have been a City pen. I'm not seeing something.

Yes, it hit Trent's arm, but it hit Silva's arm first. If the rule is any handball is illegal, then it shouldn't be a pen because they handballed it first. If the rule is accidental handball is ok, but deliberate isn't then Trent's was hardly deliberate either as he had no time to move out the way (he was running back and had to suddenly turn l Aguero's hands are in almost the exact same positions to prove this) so again, no penalty.

    So I don't understand this...

Were we watching a different game? Trent had in under control the entire match, Sterling did virtually nothing all game.

That's the biggest thing here imo. We've had some tough games and are still 9 up. City have had it fairly easy and are in 4th. There's more tests for us to come, but it's a great position to be in and City look like they could drop even more.

Same story all season; if City go behind then Sterling does nothing, if City go ahead he'll score a goal

Thought sterling was there most dangerous player, but he didnt trouble trent, he more exploited the space when trent went forward.

1 on 1 trent came out the winner, but it was a struggle in the second half once salah moved inside and their left back was allowed to get forward more.

Agree on that - Keane was snickering away there a few weeks ago when Origi was fouled in the build up to Uniturd's goal that VAR cant turn over the decision that a ref clearly saw, and Oliver clearly saw this and waved his arms to indicate no pen. Besides which, as Clattenberg said, if that ball had missed Trent, gone to Sterling and he'd put it in, it would have been disallowed anyway for Silva's accidental handball in the build up. Once again, the pundits on SKY and the BBC (Chris Sutton) have demonstrated that they do not understand the rules.

City have got a ridiculously tough December, I know weve got alot of games, but the lc, and wcc hold no pressure.

    Clinical performance!

Handball in the box but unsure if the handball/assist by B.Silva was the deciding factor in not awarding one.

Interesting stat - Aguero has never scored at Anfield.

considering all the stuff that went Man City way last year i couldn't give a **** if Trent had caught the ball and then juggled it Harlem Globetrotters style and yet Var went "accidental" .
