Plenty contenders in my time of watching us. The likes of McFaul, Dinnis, Ardiles, Carver to name but a few. Push comes to shove I would have gone for Souness. Reading an article today made me reconsider with Dalglish jumping up the list for serious consideration. Hadn’t realised/registered that in his time here Dalglish sold Ginola, Beardsley, Ferdinand and Tino. To replace them with a finished Ian Rush, a finished John Barnes, a finished Stuart Pearce along with the soon to be stars Gerry Brady and Des Hamilton. A transfer record of that sort must put him in the worst ever conversation if not with the title. Who was your worst NUFC manager and why?
I wonder if Kenny was forced into selling them and that's why Keegan ****ed off in the first place mind, but it was dreadful who we replaced them with. I will pick souness though because he dismantled bobbys side and spent a fortune on crap,
the thing is although souness was **** he;s always spoken well of us on tv and I like him for that because others stick the knife in and blame everything but themselves , so I hate saying he was the worst, but he really messed up a good side and had what was big money back then.
it's early, but right now you would have to say Bruce is doing well, but the way the league is we could lose 3 and be in deep **** real fast, so I will hold judgement for now. if we get injuries to max and miggy we are ****ed to the point of almost certain relegation form
Flip side if we win next game we could be top 5. This might be the most competitive season yet. It’s interesting our best results have technically come against top 10 sides.
Boumsong for £8.5m 6 months after his beloved Rangers signed the donkey on a free. Nothing dodgy about that at all
Injury to Miggy would not be a bad thing, but ASM would be tragic. Especially as he is getting a bit fitter.
Toss up for me would be between McClaren, and Carver, but as I believe football is an entertainment business, I'll have to go with Rafa, a world class anti-football man. Three full seasons, one relegation and a lot of **** players, or so he kept saying and whom he mostly brought.
