Thanks, it was just an impression I got about the blunts, I can't say that I have looked into it though. I hope we get Bamford firing and keep Eddie but I really want another striker in January that is fit and ready to go in the team, none of this waiting around to get them up to speed malarkey. OK that sounds greedy but I would prefer to have injuries, suspensions, dips in individual form etc all covered off and keep the opposition guessing as to which top class striker they will be up against. Well, I can dream.
They were busy... they did a lot of ‘squad strengthening’ signings and interestingly bought a fair few championship players... that they’d obviously been impressed with and thought would fit with their system. I’d love another striker in jan, but if we’re insistent on only playing 1, it might be a tricky sell. That said you’d have to think Eddie is in line for a recall.
I think if we went up we'd probably do ok even with this squad. Obviously to survive we would have to be more clinical. Milner has always said he would come back if we went up. He would be massive for us for a couple of seasons. He'd be another Strachan imo. Imagine Milner in the midfield. Grab another centre half from somewhere. Doesn't have to break the bank. For example Cahill would have been good if we had gone up last year. The striker is the big signing. It would be great to have someone like Wood back. I'm sure we could blart most of our PL money on Haaland. He seems very keen to play in the PL and has been vocal on his love for the club and the city. That's all in a perfect world obviously. I dont believe we would need too much more.
In a scrappy first-half for the first time we managed to create a 2-0 cushion in the first 35 minutes only to concede soon after making it a uncomfortable lead even though Rovers created nothing of note in the 2nd half. Positives Wonderful 2nd goal Three points First time we've led by two goals in first 35 minutes We scored from a penalty At last a goal for Bamford after being so unlucky in our last two games Tyler Roberts improving with every game Phillips pass for our 2nd goal Bamford touch bringing the ball down to lay off to Harrison Nice finish from Jack White & Phillips as consistent as ever Five games unbeaten Negatives Conceding from a corner with no one picking-up their tall left-back Williams Woeful passing especially in the first-half Harrison squandered at least five good opportunities choosing the wrong option time & time again Why does Jack have to beat the same defender two or three times. I don't get the Jack Harrison love-in Our best attacking player Pablo on the bench for much of the game Apart from a couple of nice runs what does our new signing give us, more like Mr Frothy than Costa Klich still nowhere near his best Our shooting woeful as ever, at least three shots flew over the bar Should have won by much more Cooper injury Ratings 7 Casilla 6 Ayling 8 White 7 Cooper 7 Dallas 8 Phillips 6 Costa 6 Klich 8 Roberts 6 Harrison 8 Bamford Subs 7 Berardi n/a Davis
One thing to think about with promotion, is that Bielsa would only want a few additions and you will have to imagine what Bielsaball would look like in the Prem. Even the team we have now would scare the pants off half the prem teams. Bielsa would thrive and scare the pants off the bottom half like a poor mans Man City running and pressing

Noticed last night on MOTD only Chelscum (40k), Newcastle (44k) and Spurs (60k) had higher attendances than Leeds. Some of them were 20k. Shocking for the Premier League - no wonder the EFL want to keep us down at any price. If the ER capacity was 50k we’d fill it if we went up.
Bamford Just imagine your a striker You haven’t scored for nearly 3 months You get the gift of a penalty What goes through your head Just think of the pressure he was under He scores some would have tried to put a hole in the back of the net and skyed it Bamford was cool well done lad Time some gave him breathing space
I wouldn’t worry can’t see it happening Just wait until you read all the agent’s crap about all the prolific strikers we are looking at
Ayala is as far away from a ball-playing CB as you can get, so won’t be happening. Unless ball-playing means grabbing an opponent by the bollocks, he’s good at that the dirty bastard.
I'll be surprised as much as you Eire if we make a significant signing. I'll also be over the moon if we do
They do put us through the wringer Nick, yet another game we should have won by 4 0r 5 goals Other championship teams with less ability score for fun, thank god for our lads at the back.
