Hey'up lads, LL here, got my blinkers on and despite knowing nothing about football, I'll try my best to bring you a good post.

This was a game we ground out despite being 2-0 up for 10 minutes.

We should've won with 3,4 or 5 goals against a moderate Blackburn side........Obviously a striker problem, but most know that any way.

Our football this season is below the standard we saw last season, I think most would agree on that.

First half was a good half, not a brilliant half but a good half where, for most of the half we controlled the game and football.

Second half we slackened off, it was a grind as BR upped themselves a gear and went after an equaliser but our defence held out.

I think Costa had a good game, good passes, little touches and running well with ball attacking the BR defence, looks like he's growing in confidence and blending in with Bielsa ball the more time he spends on pitch.

Harrison, despite scoring a goal is more of an individual greedy player than a team player. He had a couple of good passes from Costa and Roberts only for Harrison to score a 3 pointer and shoot for corner flag.

I said it during game, and I'll say it again, if Harrison plays scrabble he wouldn't know how to spell pass.

He's greedy with ball, it's like he's trying to be a hero or the saviour of the team, and he screws up more than he achieves. Who's he trying to impress, Man City, himself or Leeds.

Thing with Harrison is, when he screws up trying to dribble everyone he brings our attack to an abrupt halt. Some would say it looks good to watch, but the end product 80% of time is abysmal.

Bamford, not a very good game as usual for me. Scored the penalty that wasn't, but he hasn't scored a goal in 10 games from open play.....We have a striker problem. No point in feeling sorry for him, sympathetic emotions don't get us promoted.

Roberts, good game against QPR but dropped a level against BR. Lost the ball quite a few times, some passes going astray but a good little touch for Harrison to aim for corner flag. Needs to be consistent if he's going to bring an impact to team.

Phillips, not a very good game for me. Robbed of the ball in tackles, passes going astray, way out of position down that left side a lot. When a player plays out of position pressure is put on other players who try to cover for them, it also creates holes and gaps in mid field, better teams would've punished us for that. Got a yellow for a bad tackle, and let the man he was marking get away from him to score the BR goal. He stood there flat footed ball watching.

Nothing, except 1 goal I think has come of Phillips taking the free kicks and corners, someone else should be taking'em cos there's an obvious problem there.

Sorry Ristac, respectfully, I don't know how you get an immense game out of that lot, but, we all look at a game differently.

We have a couple of players out through injury, and Pablo is slowly coming back and we're also missing Forshaw and Alioski, but the football and attitude of some players needs to improve if we are to battle for a top 2 position. Our football at moment would see us getting hammered in prem.

Some are arguably saying we're best team in league, well, we certainly ain't playing like it yet.

    Enjoy.

Genuinely think we miss Forshaw when he is not playing.

We have scored 4 goals in 2 games with Roberts back in the IX. He thinks like a striker. Improves the team by allowing Klich to play his natural game. Dallas in the middle was horrible. Nothing to do with Dallas, it's just not his bag.

Hopefully Bamford can get a bit of confidence from a goal and assist as it looks like he is our only option for a few weeks at least.

Your right about Harrison. He is one (or three) touches too many from being a real asset. He is on a good run at the moment though. He could be so much better!

We differ on Phillips. He is the insurance for the team. If he had pace.....

Good point Emu, he seems to add stability to the team and he gets around a bit.

It doesn't help that we don't have Shackleton either

I think you are underrating Bamfords performance he has contributed as much to the teams performance as anyone in the team for the past few months. Scoring goals is not the responsibility of one member of the team.

We do all look at a game differently. You decide Phillips has had a poor game before the ball is kicked. have you not looked at your own highlights of our 2nd goal?

Last season we had 30 points after 16 games this season 31 and on the 10th Nov 2018 we lost to WBA 4-1, oh bring back the glory days !!

I certainly agree 100% we all look at a game differently, I just wonder if you watch a different game to the rest of us <ok>

Respectfully and this isn’t a bashing or wind-up. Before clicking on this post I’d have made a bet with anyone that you’d be blaming Phillips for the goal and you’d slate Harrison, Ayling and Bamford and mention how we’re missing Forshaw.

It doesn’t matter the entire football world rate Phillips and see him as the best DM in the division, you hate him and you obviously never watched his corners, they were fantastic, sadly our attackers never made the most of them. It doesn’t matter Harrison out performs Costa, you like one and not the other.

Thing is, I haven’t a favourite Leeds player, I honestly haven’t, I love them all equally as long as they continue giving there all. Some are more talented than others but I won’t continually pick on one player without any justification.

Last season I was frustrated with Kiko, he still scares me at times but he’s become an important and improved player. Douglas is frozen out, those who attend report he is not a shadow on others in that position but I don’t hate him, I just wish it would click for him.

I don’t rate Alioski at LB and I wish he was picked further forward but it doesn’t mean I hate him either. I just find it staggering how you vent unnecessary and unjust hatred towards several players in the white shirt.

Most people have players they rate, players they don’t. Most though are happy when Leeds score whoever scores it.

look at LLs match day thread comments when Alioski or Pablo scores. Then look at them yesterday. You’d think the opposition had scored<laugh>.

Anyone think BPF would have got away with starting to come then stopping for the corner yesterday? Centre of the goal header from just outside the 6 yard box? I don’t blame casilla by the way, but saw BPF get lambasted for lesser ‘errors’ of judgement.

LL ain’t changing anytime soon... we know the formula, he posts the highlights for anyone who wants to watch them, and if you find his assessments amusing you’re free to comment!

Well, you don't have a favourite player but you always defend and make excuses for Phillips. Someone putting a 30 mill price tag on his head has obviously had the desired effect amongst leeds fans.

Doesn't matter what you bet on, video shows Phillips marking and losing the man who scored. I always justify what I say about certain players.

You say he takes brilliant corners, then you blame the attackers.......excuses for Phillips is it?..........It's not only what you see Ristac, it's what you don't see as well, I write about what you and some others don't see, and people don't like it cos they don't understand it.

"The entire footballing world don't rate Phillips in this division" that's sky high exaggeration, and he's a CM, and definitely not the best CM, or DM in this division, we've all seen better.

I don't hate any player, but I don't sugar coat things or allow sympathetic emotion to control my way of thinking.

The BR defender had Harrison in his pocket for most of game, and Phillips got nutmegged by the same player twice. Bamford ain't scoring, everyone knows that.

I know they’ve both got daft hairstyles but I thought it was Ayling who lost their man for their goal (was outmuscled and left floundering in typical Ayling fashion) and not Phillips <confused>

He saw Phillips, we all saw Ayling.

Phillips was on Dack, hence why one went with one runner and one with the other when they split.

Still no aknowledgement from hawkeye*, that he was wrong, regard the player that lost his man at the corner for their goal.

*just to clarify, when I say hawkeye, I'm referring to LeedsLover.

It was Ayling wasn't it who lost the Blackburn player that scored. Sorry if I missed something I didn't read the whole thread but I did watch the highlights:emoticon-0148-yes:
