What a soft penalty to be given, but I suppose it evens the score up a bit but really it looked like Ayling kicked their defender rather than the other way around, a well taken penalty though. KP long pass, good control from Bamford and a nice pass into the path of Harrison. Then a tall defender taking on our somewhat shorter defence and then what must have been for those watching live an anxious second half. Nice 2-1 win
I don’t think Klich was at his best when he was alongside Dallas, it doesn’t mean I think he is poor, I certainly don’t hate him or any other Leeds player. The entire team give it their all and that’s all you can ask for. Like Eire said, if Harrison could drop every single cross onto an attackers head or to feet he wouldn’t be playing for us. This is Championship football, some expect too much sometimes. When I’m frustrated it is more with team selection but who am I to judge or criticise a coach who has us sitting third, looking decent and the best 16 months I can ever remember outside the top flight
Yes Championship v Premier is summed up by Norwich. They were champions and didn't invest in better players when promoted (I don't think) and now bottom of the premiership.
I've been working so couldn't catch the game. I've watched the Quest highlights and read through the comments. I watched the highlights of the other games and was very impressed with Preston. Gallagher looks a player and Bamford should look how he takes a pen. Even if the keeper got to it he'd struggle to stop it at the pace he hits it. West Brom got the job done and I think Bilic will keep them ticking over. I think we'll need a bit more luck like we got with the pen today because there are a few decent teams on our heels. Very exciting.
Never mind norwich i only got in from my date at 11:15 tonight. Been out since half one. Ended up going to the pictures tonight and saw the good liar brilliant film.
[ Was it the best choice of film though? After hours of discussing which of your Ferrari’s was your favourite... how difficult it is to find a reliable butler for your holiday pad in Monte Carlo.... and how tiresome it is getting trousers to fit when you’re hung like a diplodocus.
That's what I mean they appeared to be spending every single day of the transfer window. I'm sure they weren't but they definitely improved their team before this season.
Recruitment at pl though is very hit and miss. Just because there’s wads of cash spent doesn’t guarantee quality. Everton have spent huge over past two seasons and lie fourth from bottom. If we ever get there, we’ll need at least ten quality signings. Absolutely no idea if orta would be any use at that level and not even sure I’d want him trusted with 100m to splash. Bielsa also has no experience of that division so easy to see how we could be the next Leicester but equally the next Norwich
Most of it went on mcburnie. Their first 11 is pretty similar to last years. If you look at the sides statistically, the blunts were worthy of going up as a team.. Norwich relied heavily on pukki’s goals and were poor defensively. The goals have dried up and the defensive deficiencies are still there. my personal opinion is the current Leeds side would do ok in the Prem IF we found a solution to the goal drought. Ie spunk a bit on strikers and supply and we’d have a fighting chance
