It looks like he has tried to polish a turd and given up knowing it is a lost cause just like his Brexit deal.
Johnson was at the Festival of Remembrance at the Albert Hall this evening. Let us hope it opened his eyes to what can be achieved when Nations work together. I am more inclined though to think that it will just reinforce his deeply embedded nationalistic prejudice.
Interview with ex-Speaker John Bercow, in the Guardian. I suspect we're going to hear a lot more from him in the coming years: "I don’t easily get depressed but my personal view is that Brexit is the biggest foreign policy mistake in the postwar period." ** https://www.theguardian.com/politic...-may-be-pompous-but-i-am-completely-authentic **Couldn't agree more.
This came out in mid-2016 and I haven't seen it until now, after looking for information on the EU Commission and on Human Rights. Just shows you that if you don't go and look, you won't necessarily find: Note the huge nod to Monty Python.
Yes, this has been posted before. A brilliant takedown, but I think it’s only fair to point out that the EHCR is entirely separate from the EU. It’s a body of the Council of Europe, which has 47 member states, and was formed to uphold human rights in the European continent.
Labour have narrowed the gap slightly this week, although still ten per cent behind. As they were two per cent behind in the 2017 GE. On a uniform swing that would be 37 Tory gains on 2017. Enough to give them a 40 seat majority. Then we have the SNP and LD gains, the vast majority of which will be at The Tories expense. Its too close to call.
Yes, I stumbled over it while looking for EU info. The Youtube algorithm isn't particularly specific.
Finally someone is calling the Tories out on the lies and making it clear that they are lying and misinforming the electorate. Powerful stuff.
And ordinary people will often take the words of the defence minister without question. This is why people need to check for themselves. What is true is that this present government has a track record of lies which are getting more and more blatent. I'm afraid they are going down the route of Trump, and that's Fascism. Watch for when they start announcing which news is fake and which is genuine. Then we're in real trouble. Get them out of office. It is they who are truly the dangerous ones.
We are sleepwalking to a disaster. Labour's current form is comparable to your team's home form or my team's away. Corbyn cannot shirk responsibility for this. I know that the media will be blamed along with Russian money and both can be pointed to with some degree of truth. But the plain fact is Labour are awful. To be ten per cent behind in the polls is unforgivable against this shower of lying conniving shysters. The only thing that could save us now is a Lib/Lab electoral pact. It won't happen.
Why would the lib Dems enter into a pact with a party that wants Brexit when their big campaign message is bollocks to Brexit. Labour (Corbyn?) want Brexit as much as the tory's (ERG), the difference is that what type of utopia will rise from the ashes of leaving Europe, the con's believe a capitalist utopia while labour a socialist utopia. However I don't believe that labour are being honest about this because they won't commit to whether they're officially leave or Remain. The only party that says it will stop Brexit dead are the Lib Dems*, if labour were to say the same it would strengthen them imho. *O.K and the Greens.
In my opinion the LD's should nominate their top 100 seats and let Labour have a clear run in the rest. If Laboyr failed to respond the electorate would draw their own conclusions. It's the only way to stop Pfeffel.
Deleted as it has no foundation in fact. I wonder how you get the Tory's to also delete totally unfounded accusations. I am no Corbyn fan but the Tories lying about him leads to a loss of credibility. Who can ever believe a word uttered by Boris Johnson or his cronies now.
