Don’t see us being anywhere near a relegation battle this season

Great win - coming from behind against a good Bournemouth side

Yay another win, but more goals from defenders, will this strike force ever get goals?

What a result, the lads fought hard for that. Ran after every ball, defended with everything they've got, battled in the middle.

I may just be buzzing after the win but I really thought they played well, nothing at all like a relegation side. ****ing brilliant.

If Almiron cannot score, I am very happy he has the hard work ethic to get back as fast as possible and help us defend. Bringing Andy Carroll on was also a good decision, his tracking back calmed things down and he held it well when he was needed.

If these lads get a goal, get the proverbial monkey off their backs, I think we could be in for a really good season.

Absolutely full credit to Steve Bruce, by the way. He's got us playing much further up with wing backs and wide players noticeably further forward. At times old habits kick in and we drop a little too deep, but all the early comments about us being boring were wide of the mark, for me. Plenty of excitement, and just like West Ham, should have been out of sight in the end. Max should've had 2, Almiron 1 and Joelinton 1. That's the difference - if those players start scoring, we could start doing some serious damage. 2 points from 5th, ffs, and the team IN 5th is only Sheff Utd.

If Ashley sells up this week and the crowd comes back......

100% this. We have been playing markedly different these past two games in the terms of actually maintaining our pressure. But, like West Ham, we show signs of a few years of purely defensive football. We have a tendency to drop back a bit more.

I saw a moment were Bruce told Yedlin (right in his face) to find someone in front and Yedlin opted for the pass back. These things are ingrained in the side, so we need to iron them out.

all I see is nerves when holding onto leads , but if they can learn how to go on and finish the game that will solve that problem

Yep, I expected it against Bournemouth though. They're a young side with tons of energy and would always have a burst of adrenaline when the extra time was announced.

I think we would look nervous with a one goal lead whoever we play against and it's a confidence issue that has come from such a tough start , but the more they hang on the better and if they can just finish a few teams off who knows ..

    but

we have no chance away at villa

Good lad, I think we were getting dangerously over confident.

We are **** relegation fodder, and will get battered.

    Great win...

I'm going to be that guy though. Absolutely disgusted with Almiron's finishing though, he's clueless in the box :emoticon-0184-tmi:
