I saw this all over and have been thinking this exact thing. The issue is it ruins the view of the stadium, I think?

    Bullshit

Also doesn't it stop any future owners extending?

The way the clubs going we should be considering shrinking the stadium as opposed to expanding.

I did say future owners, it's lightyears away. But it could be a big draw for potential buyers (not Peter the Kenyan), being stuck in a 52k stadium with nowhere to expand

I know, I was just being tongue in cheek. I think it's essential that every single club in the country has room for stadium expansion, if this does prevent that then in my opinion Ashley can take a massive slice off his valuation of the club.

I'm not mate I'm just saying it like it is as always. The clubs no filling the ground and who cares about a lump of land being developed and improving the area? more jobs etc it's a good decision from the council and an easy one.

Think the view of the stadium as you come in from the south is one of the best in the country. It will be a real pity if that is ruined by a large development right next to it.

I hope any development will tastefully incorporate The Strawberry - that place should be declared a World Heritage site.

i remember when I first started going I couldn't decide whether they were still building it or demolishing it but it never changed.

There were a number of reasons why SJP struggled to be extended - the most obvious is that a club constantly fighting relegation doesn't need a particularly great stadium in the first place.

Things change. It's good for the local economy to see this land being redevloped. NUFC fans need to stop being so pathetically precious about every tiny thing.

Probably correct but with Ashley sadly won’t happen.

No, I think we've gone far too pedantic thanks to Ashley. We're almost snow-flakey at times.
