Anybody seen these. They are excellent.

 

Johnny Cash was one of the truly great Americans, a ****ing giant among men

 

I remember this, Dave Grohl responded to it and actually went and held a concert for them in Italy.....

 

I love this. The original was good, but this is better, imo.

 

Never got the hype about Cash.

 

The American albums are great but I'd agree with you on his early stuff.

 

Canny beat a bit of Cash tbh.

 

I like watching the lesser known band and smaller giggs.

I've got friends from the town where he lived. Castias Springs, on the canyon rd from Ventura up to Ojai. That place is like another little backyard for me.

The hype, as you call it, comes from having a voice and attitude that were always recognisably him, over a career spanning decades.

 

probably his best song.

but then he did

he was over hyped.

 

I look at Cash in that video and I think straight away Elvis, only three years age difference between the two. Must be the Tennessee influence.

 

one was great, the other not so much.

 

Did you know that Elvis originally couldn't play a guitar?
