I agree it Is an honour the only difference to me is the clubs pay for the players wage I enjoy the internationals in the close season I always worry that players come back injured. I Would much rather shorten length of season by length of int breaks and play all the games in a block or even a mid season break. Most injuries are on my couple weeks to a month but I just think it seems unfair when the clubs pay their high wages.
That I agree with I think it should be played at end of season but I think it’s because of the South American countries But it is when it is and it is what it is so I want us to win it
Speaking of arrogance just found a comment I totally agreed with spent a good 5 seconds looking for the like button lmao Took me that long to realise it was mine
The only advantage international games have for club teams is financial. International games bring in a lot of interest into the sport from more casual viewers, who, in turn may watch a bit more club football as a result... ... International games help increase number of fans interested in the sport. Maybe Joe the Paella salesman in Spain watches an international game and drools over the performance of Iago Aspas who has a stunner... so he wants to see more of Aspas and starts watching club games for Aspas's team. It's impossible to know how many fans internationals bring to a club. I know one of my friends growing up supported Everton, and later Tottenham because of Linekar. Later he became a United fan when they won the league because he was a bit of a fickle glory hunter.
Looks like it will be a weak team with Critchley managing them. Good experience for those lads I suppose.
The FA will fine Liverpool for fielding a weakened team. Easy way for them to keep their conviction rate up. Between this and the Chirivella fine, we'll need to win the league cup just to break even. Meanwhile the Club World Cup will earn us as much money in the first 20 minutes as the entire league cup.

I do that all the time when searching for comments on a topic and scanning the results I'm like "this guy is a #footballgenius oh, wait... "
CBA to read the whole thread, but if this point hasn't already been made, let me make it - we're sending the wrong team to play Villa. CWC is a comedy cup that nobody serious takes seriously.
You really ought to. The merits - or lack of - of the CWC is what almost all of the thread has been about.
