the 'old man' with the kids was mr Tennick who had a fishing tackle shop in Dundas street i used to look in the window as a 8 year old, who with George foster invented the SAFC supporters association !. I remember his shop as a kid near dame dorothy st school, my old school, the bus depot is near there now. George had a shop to the left of the roker end selling programmes and if i remember used to be 1 d (penny) on the bus to go to the town.

Bizarre but brilliant. Did my eyes deceive me or did the keeper concede a goal by bouncing the ball off someone's head while he tried to throw it out? I'm inclined to discount any records set in that era we were better footballers on the playground at school.
