How stupid does Anna Soubry think we are Just seen a clip of her interviewing a person by the name of graham heal who claims he used to be a keen brexiter but has now changed his mind to remain The true facts are that he has always been a remoaner and did In fact stand on this ticket at the last election More sh*t from Soubry as usual This kind of bending the rules should be illegal
I watched The Apprentice and a group of 20 somethings didn't even know when WW2 started! I thought they studied history. It seems the idea that a 16 year old is heading to college then Uni but, in fact, many, many more leave school to get a job. You don't hear as much from these ones because they're working, usually in **** jobs. Kids rarely know what they want at 16, and even if they think they do it will probably change. As for giving them the vote, it's been said by someone, it's political by Labour in the hope they'll get more votes, which is why they're pushing to give foreign nationals the vote too. Be careful what you wish for.
I guess it's a generational thing I suspect, an assumption, that you don't know the dates of the 1st and 2nd Boer Wars but I guess your grandparents did. I still don't know what I want and I'm more than 16 does that mean I shouldn't vote? Don't you let the Irish vote in your elections? The last time I checked they were foreign or is it that some foreigners are more foreign than others?
Didn't work out that way in Scotland for the Indyref! 'Foreign nationals' were given the vote, as were 16yo's, yet both groups voted AGAINST LABOUR. Which is not a Scottish thing to do & surprised everyone! Jusy sayin'.
But if you're old enough to be in the Army, old enough to marry and old enough to pay taxes then maybe you're probably old enough to vote.[/QUOTE] Old enough for all that, dbc, but still with a lot of growing up to do. Have you seen the way some of those sixteen year olds drive?
I like to watch your TV show "The chaser", with Brad Whatsit. They episodes are well out of gate but still relevant. One thing I notice is that any contestant who is a student or at University studying for some obtuse degree or other knows f*ck all about anything. I've seen medical students and law students fall at the first hurdle. I know alot of other people do the same, but they aren't 'inteligent', or supposed to be. I can say this on here because none of my family will see it, but I have a grandson who has a degree in Management (what ever that means) which he completed some years ago.. he's twenty six and has just got his first job, stacking shelves in Woolworths! (Our Woolworths, not yours, different company altogether).
No, don't be silly, the Irish (Republic) don't vote in the GE, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland collectively know as The United Kingdom of Great Britain vote, but you knew that didn't you? You'd make a good politician
