Not really bothered, quite happy to be this seasons silent assasins. What you must remember too is a lot of so called experts have hung their hat on us going down this season, they're just waiting for it to turn! As for Shearer he does an ok job but he is not a fantastic pundit. Long may it continue though because it really winds up my mackem mates that he is on. "that ****ing boring geordie bastard" or "anyone but that bastard". They ****ing hate him because of the years we had while he was here!

Seeing that the majority of press coverage about NUFC is oblivious to facts I'm happy we've stayed out of the limelight with our current league position.

Christ knows what they could make up.

We could win all our games from now to December and Paul Merson will still say we're going down and it was just a lucky start. <laugh>

It's a bit different for the golden oldies like Hansen & Lawro - Liverpool were a very successful team in the 70's & 80's and they were an integral part of that.

Shearer is a representative of the Premier League era and won nothing with us. He did win the PL title with Blackburn though. He doesn't bang on about Blackburn Rovers either.

I think he tries too hard to be impartial, so much so he doesn't say anything controversial or against the norm.

Yeah when Barton played for us he never had a good word to say about him, now he's at QPR nothing but praise.

When liverpool went top for one day after 2 games there were headlines about it on BBC. Not a whisper about us and team of the week....no cabaye?

Im not that bothered either as regards to praise. wouldnt expect it off any 'pundit'. All I ever ask for is for NUFC to be treated fairly.

"And Newcastle are in the top 4" Would do. That is all. They dont even have to say its been a good start, just acknowledge which team after 5 games, 4 in which were difficult ties, lie in the 'top 4'. To totally bipass it completely like they are is a joke. Even if I was a Spurs/Scouse/Arsenal fan i'd want to be mentioned in the table if we were holding the 4th place position. Never mind a 'relegation' team (apparently).

Im just hoping we finally end this run against Blackburn and get another well earned win regardless of the league position. Need to take 3 points against them. Is a target win for the season.

Sunday Supplement on Sky was quite favourable towards us this week, they began by stating how poorly Sunderland are doing even though they have spent quite a lot of money, would Steve Bruce keep his job etc. Alan Pardew on the other hand has done very well with little money to spend, we're still getting results despite loosing some very good players, we were tipped to struggle, but Pardew has us organised and playing well. They sense Pardew does not have full control at Newcastle, and they agreed he has not been given the AC money which resulted in Pardew criticising the board. They are definitely fans of Pardew, the fact he's doing so well for us strengthens Ashleys arguement that things are ok as they stand, one of the reporters on the show feels the Barton "Free Transfer" should be investigated by the FA.

I had a feeling supplement might have, as they go into more detail then highlight programmes. MOTD is farcical.

I say let them talk about our teams instead of ours!

We'll quietly get on with our business and they can talk about how great the likes of Stoke are doing...

It doesn't bother me as all the pundits/media journo's know **** all about football anyway!

Don't understand people slagging off Shearer, why is he on MOTD? He gets paid to talk about football, my ideal job. Why would he say nice things about Newcastle after the way he was treated by MA and many fans after he took us down?
