He'd apologised once and hes reknown for being a dirty ****er. And he'd won every round and rocked him twice before that. Desperation from Ortiz that backfired.

Nothing wrong in my book, rules are protect yourself at all times. I don't like Floyd but was impressed the way he managed to sink to dirty level like Ortiz, you have to be willing to do that as a boxer or you'll get nowhere. The headbutt was nasty. Don't get me wrong, it was a cheap shot. But Ortiz had it coming and was very naive.

It was a cheap shot... and very unprofessional... its not a ****ing street fight its a boxing match.. an Olympic sport for **** sake.. it has a duty of respect attached to it.. Ortiz got his punishment with the deduction! both boxers should have carried on the fight in a respectable manner.

People argue that mayweather went to get the quick victory... and in the manner he did it, it not only robs boxing fans in general but mainly his own fans. and im not talking about the people reading about the fight the next morning.. its the ppl who pay out their money to go watch the fight and those plowing millions into ppv. these ppl deserve to see a 16-month hiatus of mayweather go off with a propper bang and for him to prove he is the best in the world.. and all they saw was a desperate man too wrapped up in keeping his record. now we get to wait another year and half of the runt ducking fights.

Yes Ortiz is and always has been a dirty fighter, I think people just overlook it because he seems a decent bloke and is a bit of a character. Everyone hates Mayweather, thats why this will be discussed more than Ortiz's previous misdemeanours, along with his larger stature. The rules will absolve Mayweather of blame, but it just sums up what people have always thought about him having no honour and him being a complete dick to boot. Having a pop at an old man is not on either, what an utter bellend he is.

Aye he is bell end but I still think he was within his rights to knock him out. It is within the rules, just. Ortiz should have known better. You won't find a boxing trainer alive who wouldn't be critical of Ortiz, it was naive in the extreme. I did a bit of boxing when I was younger and the first thing I was taught was you must protect yourself. I was always told never to relax and start thinking the fella opposite you was a saint. By its very nature boxing attracts some less than desirable characters (Ortiz and Mayweather are evidence of this). So you have to assume the worst. I'm not saying I like what Mayweather did but I must admit I do advocate playing by the same rules as your opponent. Mayweather has used a grey area in the rules to win. But he only resorted to doing so after Ortiz took the rules into his own hands. It was the same when Tzuyu belted Hatton in the balls, I had no problem when the first thing Hatton did after the break was belt him back in the balls. Its a mental thing as much as anything else i.e. you won't be bullied around the ring. Technically its wrong of course and in Mayweathers case, it'll certainly leave a bad taste. But for me, on this occasion, I can understand his actions.

Khan is woeful, even past his best Mayweather will do him. I remember his second or third fight against some jock lad. He got put on his arse and didnt know where he was.... got up at 8 and the jock threw a few jabs in until Khan recovered then lost the fight.... if he wasnt on a bung he would have finished him and Khan would have been shown up. The fight finished and Frank Warren was straight over to the jock shaking his hand.... i lost any respect for Khan after that and hope he gets beat when i see his fights advertised.

Willie Lomond? Honestly I'd be surprised if he took a dive. Quite a tough lad and was distraught he didn't take his big chance against Khan. I don't mind Khan but I find the whole family shabang in the ring afterwards quite embarrassing. Never has so many of a mans fammily partaken in such unashamed hawking for fame. I agree though, as much as I dislike Mayweather, he would take Khan to school. Khan is very very good, but I think Mayweather would stop him. Both have great attacks, difference is Mayweather has a great defence too!
