Premier League is no different, with two teams dominating and most of the rest are varying degrees of inconsistent crap.
Not if Barca or Real Madrid win it, though. Vamos Atlético, o Sevilla, Real S, alguna club excepto Barca o Los Blancos.
Warning, this next news item may well make you shed a tear, you have been warned! Jürgen Klopp says "we cannot carry on like this" after it was decided his Liverpool side will play two games in two days in December. The Reds face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on 17 December before playing the Club World Cup semi-final in Qatar the next day. "We have to find solutions," said Klopp. "The problems are obvious. Just who is he moaning at? His club have arranged the addition fixtures to rake in extra millions!
From my point of view, it is absurd that teams that have qualified for Europe enter this competition. The whole competition needs a rethink. I would invite all League and PL clubs without European competition to enter, with the final being held on a Saturday at one of the top grounds around the country such as the Emirates, New White Hart Lane, the London Stadium, Villa Park, the Millennium, Anfield, Eitihad, Old Trafford, St James Park and the Stadium of Light. Diferent stadium each year and location to be decided once the semi-final teams are decided. As for the caveat of qualifying for the Europa League, maybe. In Spain, the Copa del Rey final goes around the country. I feel we should follow suit with Carabao Cup.
I agree about making the league cup for teams not in Europe only and have thought so for a while now, we'll never get the finals away from Wembley though - still can't get the FA cup semis away from there.
Just got to trade some banter with same serbian mates about how red star just lost 9 - 0 on aggregate to Spurs after receiving it from them about Leicester before. At least we lost to a team thats actually good. Feel a bit better now.
Just watched Celtic`s win at Lazio - Elyounoussi was really good, and Forster made a couple of great saves.
That is a stunning win for Celtic against opponents playing in a higher standard of league. Hope their supporters get home safe and sound. As for Rangers, I find it very difficult to warm to them. Again they will need to be at their very best, against technically superior opponents but with the backing of a noisy Ibrox crowd, that is worth at least a goal to the Light Blues.
I can`t warm to then either ! They play in the same colours as our fishy friends. They had a good win last night too, to be fair.
If Rangers fans identified with the SNP instead of this blind loyalist rubbish, I would respect them a lot more.
