So nearly 1-1. Van LaParra off the post, Sanchez onto our own bar and clear. Bloody hell.

Bit too firm by Foyth and Kane's control lets him down or it's a tap-in. Shame.

 

1-0 HT. Very good half, barring a few seconds that nearly cost us a goal or two.
Looks like a 4-1-4-1 and it's giving us more width than we normally have, without really putting our defence under too much pressure.
A bit more composure and quality on the final ball needed and we can win this.

 

Even excluding the goal Gio has looked great. Linked up nicely with Foyth who’s also played decent. Tanguy yet again shining and Gazza with a couple of brilliant saves, if he’s dropped when Lloris returns it’ll be a travesty, he’s definitely the better keeper of the two now.

Dele and Son been the only real downers for me.

 

Enjoyed our goal, it was like a classy goalmouth scramble.

Generally we've been decent, Red Star's 2 big chances came from a series of lucky deflections falling their way and just out of the reach of the defence. Maybe I'd be more ciritical if it weren't such a tought place to come and win but I think we just need to be a bit more precise in the final third. Gazza's save with his feet was absolutely brilliant.

 

Some good play against a poor RS.
lo Celso involved in much of the best stuff and Dier looking good considering his lack of minutes. His booking was undeserved and followed a series of fouls by RS any of which could have seen a card.
Down side for me is Dele again. Not for lack of effort but he's still not his old self.

Pray for a 2nd....or 3rd...to make it more comfortable.

 

Really enjoyed watching us in that half...haven't said that too often this season.

We were fast passing, lots of movement by the front players and lots of width.

 

They're just not 100%. Slightly off and making a few mistakes and poor touches.

 

Ndombele and lo celso have made a difference

 

Good to see Spurs looking compact and quick. Plus this team can put to bed that our squad is too old., what rubbish they write.
