Did he; 1. keep half the team up all night singing boyzone songs in the hotel bar? 2. Snore all night costing adam valuable sleep seeing he was dozing for the bit of the game he was on. 3. over induldge out of the mini bar, run up and down the hotel corridor banging on doors shouting for cheryl to come out cos he'd ruin her? 4. Did he train with david n'gog for 6 months and pick up bad habits?
Interesting post MoreInjured. I must admit, I haven't been keeping a close eye on Andy Carroll recently since he's been injured/not playing much. Has he not been performing? What are the views of you lads on him then!? PS - this is a sincere request, I just don't know how he's getting on with your lot. PPS - look after Jose - he's a gem!
I wouldn't blame one individual, I would blame 11. It was a collective bad performance, and the worst performance I've seen in quite a while and there were some really poor performances under Hodgson.
...it was a joke... you know... andy carroll does look very slow and out of touch. the issue is he only played 6 months i nthe prem before getting injured (less really) so I don't know if this si how he should be or not. Ergo taking the press and capello's love of having a go at him I thought it'd be fun to see who wild and outlandish an excuse one could make for the spurs defeat due to andy's antics. andy's antics no 1. "I wish I could tell you that Andy fought the good fight, and the spurs let him be. I wish I could tell you that - but white hart lane is no fairy-tale world. He never said who did it, but we all knew. Things went on like that for awhile - life with 9 men consists of routine, and then more routine. Every so often, Andy would show up with fresh bruises. The Spurs kept at him - sometimes he was able to fight 'em off, sometimes not. And that's how it went for Andy - that was his routine. I do believe those first 20 mins were the worst for him, and I also believe that if things had gone on that way, this place would have got the best of him." or andy's antics no 2. "it took 90 minutes Andy escaped from white hart prison. All they found of him was a muddy set of kecks, a bar of soap, and an old stephen gately poster, damn near worn down to the nub. I remember thinking it would take a man six hundred years to tunnel through the wall of the dressing room. Old Andy did it in less than 90mins. Oh, Andy loved boyzone. I imagine it appealed to his meticulous nature. An ice age here, million years of crap songs there. Boyzone is the study of pressure and time. That's all it takes really, pressure, and time. That, and a big goddamn poster. Like I said, in white hart lane a man will do most anything to keep his mind occupied. Turns out Andy's favorite hobby was totin' his wall out onto the pitch, a handful at a time. I guess after adam was sent off, Andy decided he'd been here just about long enough. Andy did like he was told, buffed that left wing to a high mirror shine. The fans simply didn't notice. Neither did I... I mean, seriously, how often do you really look at crap player stuck out on the wing? Andy crawled to freedom through 90 minutes of **** smelling foulness I can't even imagine, or maybe I just don't want to. 90 minutes... that's the length of an entire game, just shy of 90mins more than he deserved"
I must admit I wan't expecting that result yesterday. What's worrying me is apart from Gerrard that's our full strength team. Not one player looked comfortable so as for your joke mito, they could well have been kept up all night, but they certainly weren't watching videos of spurs and working out how to get around them. Anyone else thing Adebayor looks like he could have chosen either football or be an Olympic sprinter, why didn't we sign him???
Andy had to go to prison to become a crook. Alex Ferguson claims all agents are crooks except those whose surname is Ferguson.
He's about as mobile and useful as a constipated ****. £35m down the drain. He either doesn't want to be there he's sulking coz he's realised he's not as good as he thought he was. Kenny should take some of the flak too for the way we lined up yesterday. Proper Niave selection and set-up. :-(
You're right of course, but it hardly makes much of a difference to my statement. How do you think yesterday's game would have gone had Johnson/Kelly been playing? It was pretty much the full strength team and that worried me.
