Craig Levein has been sacked as manager of Hearts and will also leave his role as director of football.

He'll probably give himself the job of assistant manager. **** manager anyway. Hearts need an overhaul, they used to be a decent force in Scotland, but they've under-performed for a while now.

Hull City's head of recruitment Lee Darnbrough is reportedly among the candidates being lined up to become Hearts' new sporting director.

According to the Scottish Daily Mail (published by Not The Old Firm), Darnbrough and current interim first-team boss Austin MacPhee are both being considered for the role by owner Ann Budge following Craig Levein's departure from Tynecastle last week.

Think about the players he has brought in and the budget he had to work on. I'll admit he has his faults, but bringing in the likes of De Wijs, Lichaj, Long, Burke, Lopes, Pugh and Stewart has been a success. In fact, very few of his signings have been duds.

    You can't say that...

It goes against the prevailing narrative of too many on here.

As well as Robbo, Clucas and Maguire. Jarrod Bowen was also spotted and signed during the SB/Ternent days.

    Tough talent-spotting act to follow.

Wonder is those in charge at City appreciate how important proper scouting is.

Given it's his job to sift through the scout reports and make offers for players, I'd say somewhere around 100%. Even if he was touted a player by an agent, he still made the decision to bring him in.
