Weird how once referees aren't following Mike Riley's directives they start making correct decisions PGMOL
Decision in 30secs no complaints and another big correct decision This is embarrassing for our use of VAR as that was the English refs agin who used it perfectly
Never been a believer in that PGMOL thing but you make a compelling case but I still think it’s just arrogance
It's the CWC we should be fielding the kids in. If there's one trophy somehow more naff than the League Cup, it'a the Club World Cup. Who the **** takes that seriously?
Two games in 24 hours - can fans do both? For any Liverpool fans thinking they could get to Villa Park for the Carabao Cup quarter-final and then hopping over (and I use that term lightly) to the Club World Cup semi-final in Qatar the following day... There are a couple of flight options that would give them a chance of making kick-off. A flight from Birmingham Airport at 07:50 GMT on 18 December lands in Doha at 17:30 local time, leaving three hours to get from the airport runway to the stands at Education City Stadium. The cost of that flight was £614 one way at 22:00 GMT on 5 November. The journey from airport to stadium is around 30 minutes, so with smooth progress through security, getting to both games looks possible. There is also one leaving London Heathrow at 08:00 GMT on 18 December, landing 17:45 local time. That flight costs over £500.
It's just ridiculous. After Sunday we have another FIB - another 2 weeks where fixtures could have been placed but are sacrificed for relatively pointless internationals. Few of the players from top teams will get a rest, but the fixtures just pile up. Klopp is reported as saying we can't carry on like this, but when is anyone going to listen? Football generally needs to have a re-think - our club in particular should never have gone anywhere near the CWC at that time of year.
Does anyone know how much money we make from this CWC malarkey? I read somewhere that a tv station was offering $433m for the tv rights. If that's the level of money this competition draws then can we expect a good wedge of that?
If I were wealthy and unemployed, I think that would be an amazing experience to try to do... See both games back to back. If I win the lottery this weekend you might see me at both.
If we didn’t have the CWC there would be one game less - one That’s what all this hullabaloo is about - one extra game.
VAR needs to have an independent panel operating it. Else there will be bias because which ref will overturn Their mates decision.
It is one extra game at the busiest, most demanding time of the season. An extra game for Klopp who has been advocating for less games at this time for years and now has more
Sorry forgot the Not going to start again but glad we going On unrelated topic did anyone see that Mane got kicked in the mush as he scored on Sunday
