I know. He's had a lot of injuries to deal with, but that in itself is a cause for concern. We can't make plans based on a player that is prone to long-term or repeated injury, so to my mind we have to continue as though he's not there and if he comes good that's a bonus.

    On a side-note; Virge's shooting isn't improving a lot - it's a good job he's a defender.

I agree he looks to move forward and as the right mentality in that regard but it takes him far too long to get to that decision!

He strikes the ball so sweetly he should be much better at it. Generates a lot of power with what appears to be very little effort too

i know what you mean but I think it’s good. Because we often see the usual suspects simply playing sideways, without looking to go forward, and then putting pressure on full backs to put in a lot of crosses, and subsequently lose possession.

By focusing on playing centrally (and taking time and building patiently) it led to Ox Gini and Keita attempting 14 dribbles, taking 10 shots and scoring 2 goals. That’s a really good positive contribution from midfield.

and again, it stems from taking time and creating space for others to exploit.

still not perfect but adds another dimension. Especially against the ****ter teams.

It will be shame if he doesn't make it, but I reckon one more injury and we will look to move on. Cant continually think the midfield us well stocked when he is on the treatment table, or coming back.

Funny, I said this to my boy last night. For someone who times everything to perfection at one end of the pitch, hes equally awful at the other.

Youd really think hed get a few goals a year from corners.

On another side note; Mané's defending is improving exponentially.

Milner goes and wins the CWC for us by himself. The rest battle it out against Villa.
