At Open University it's Politics, Philosophy and Economics but at Oxford University it's Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
    Weird.

Might want to consider vocational training.

Never see a starving plumber or electrician.

    Truth accepted.

And if big money is your bag, look at that 'Rod Stewart through a mangler' Pimlico ****.

Seriously though, good trades to have.

If you lived in Hull that model would never work.
He charges £200 for something a person in Hull could get for £50.

Know plenty of folks who say my lad or daughter is doing a Masters in Applied Anal Hygiene or Sustainable Turbine Design analysis.

    But where are the jobs?

You render yourself unemployable if you go into such a niche area and you don't have those vacancies nearby.

Bottom line you need to eat, pay the rent/mortgage and have stability otherwise you'll always be on rung one, stranded on the starting grid

Not easy to change horses once you're over 30 either, you're chasing the leading pack who have several years experience over you.

If/when I am reincarnated it will be deffo as a plumber/electrician, or failing that a high class undertaker.

I went self employed at around 40 but at least I'd been employed in the same line of work all my working life. It took a few years to get going but then it really took off. I'm happy to not employ people. There's the possibility of more money to be made if you do employ people but it comes with a lot more stress.
