Do think they've bought well and have a manager that knows what he is doing. That said, we are still within a couple of points and beat them so no reason we can't go up with them. My concern is our small squad running out of steam at the business end like last year.
Always liked sawyers, amazed how cheap he was... given forshaw’s a sick note and Phillips is a pub player according to the match highlights threads, he would have been a great signing for us. As for the baggies... they’ve drawn their last two at home to Barnsley and Charlton... Leeds fans would be jumping out of high rise buildings off the back of those results.
My opinion is that, yes we don't score enough but we are insanely good at the back. Given the choice of finding goals from our many chances or trying to plug a leaky defence, I'll stick with what we've got. I think Roberts is going to be a star for us and I hope he keeps Eddie out of the team because he's ours and not on loan As for Kiko, if what he said is what Chesh posted then that is not racist in my opinion. A snowflake would think just using the word black is racist but in that context he's not using it racially, in my opinion. We've come a long way since Love Thy Neighbour and the Black and White Minstrel Show. I think the world is getting too PC. Maybe Rap artists, if they still call them that, should modify the lyrics they use in their "music" too.
At least it gives us the excuse to get him off the wage bill......... if the club decides to.... I mean, there were rumours that we wanted rid but nobody would pay his wages. Suppose it gives the club options! Just trying to be the glass half full guy!
By all (vast majority?) of accounts, he is having a great season, why would the club want to get rid?
Firstly, we need to know if Leko knows what Kiko said in Spanish. Secondly, if it was said in Spanish, how does Leko know Kiko racially abused him. Thirdly, doesn't matter what the lip reader says, it can't be substantiated evidence cos of very close sounding words. I think the word Negro is going to pop up as the only word Leko heard and understood. Obviously the FA want to try and disrupt Leeds again. If for some unknown reason the FA find Kiko guilty, I see an appeal or court case looming. Thing is, why has it took so long for the FA to try and investigate it.
Very naive comments here. The timing of this announcement will enable the matter to get drawn out with a resolution in late January early February, just in time to preclude Leeds from signing a replacement and to derail any chance of promotion. Watch this space for further developments.
wish the hearing was in the states he could appeal and it would run forever.in fact he would be retired and It would still be going on.
I dunno. I was just saying. The club (Kinnear) said that the wage bill was now bigger than it has been for a few years. I'm not saying it's a problem btw. If we don't look like we are going anywhere and the club have to reduce the wage bill they could sack him if found guilty and save on his wages. Is he on about 30k a week? And about a 3 year contract? Just throwing a financial view on the situation.
But at least they didn't blow them away and like I've said before we beat and drew with them. I don't think Preston will last the pace, WBA will I suspect. A good result for them both, although I didn't realise how bad Stoke were.
Stoke were awful, up there with the worst teams I've seen in the Championship, they looked really unfit, Campbell was a tank, they had the look of a league 1 team, which is extremely likely where they'll be playing next season.
See a suggestion that we might look at Green again to fill in as he lives locally and is without a club. We might do worse.
I didn't watch the match, I just popped in and out to see the score. If they are as bad as you say Gessa(and the table doesn't lie) I'm surprised a team as good as WBA didn't score more.
West Brom always looked like they could go up a gear but for whatever reason they didn't, which is baffling because of how tight it is atm, goal difference could well come into play this season.
Agree, it was like a training game at times and WBA were just lapping up the 'oles' for the last 15 minutes. Stoke were worse than awful.
I've just found a lot of photos I took which could have been the incident with Casilla. Didn't realise anything untward had happened at the game but thought it was for pushing when Charlton got a corner.
