    It'll be a while mate.

People are deflated due to the league position in the third division and the fact that the Ross situation took way too long to resolve.

Fans will pick up when performances improve, results improve and they have faith again. The manager has only been here five minutes and needs time to implement new ways of playing bring in new players to fill the obvious gaps.

If the money is to help the squad in the transfer window we've got to get to it as best we can then back the manager in the window.

It'll turn, it always does, even if you don't have "faith" you can still have "hope" :emoticon-0100-smile

I don't it'd hurt to spend a few quid of the new money on a show of some kind at the next home game. I think it'd make everyone feel good to see that there has been a change.

What type of show do you have in mind there mate? Could put on a full production of Wind in the Willows there for the kids. I loved it as a young’n, could help attract new fans too.

I was just thinking of a bit of razzmatazz at half time and maybe pre game like getting a singer or band in. Anything to help the atmosphere and lift spirits.

It hasn't gone flat at all,

Surely no one expects developments daily??

'A simmering excitement' probs best describes it for me.

It's quite understandable that scraping a 1-0 home win, against Southend, isn't as exciting as the same result against Man City or Newcastle.

    The end.

Had it gone flat? I don't think it has really, the performances have been there when the results haven't, and vice versa. Theres not been a huge bounce, but theres signs of progress on and off the pitch. Not sure what you're expecting right now.

1-0, I suppose can never be said as an easy win... they could have 'nicked' a goal, but imho we were more likely to score..

Anyhow..its pizzing down... does St Swithurns not know that Tuesday is one of the days I am permitted to play golf! It would be more like 'plodging through the clarts' atm. A short time at the gym, it will have to be.

As for the game tonight, most on here will know I blame last season's tin pot cup as one of the factors in missing out on promotion. So I would play the 1st teamers who are not getting a game and or have been injured, plus the young'uns Kimpokia, Mumba etc

If it's on safcsee I will watch it

After our tumble from the Premier and the Championship we had some stability restored by the change of ownership, a promotion challenge , two trips to Wembley , another change of Manager , a potential takeover by some USA billionaires starting with money investment in to SAFC all in around 18 Months . Stands to reason that things have settled down not gone FLAT though I am sure people are waiting for more details of how the investment money will be spent and how the January transfer window will go . I think we are in a good position to kick on now but it will take a little time , we are on the fringe of the top 6 and are a third of the way through the season plenty of time to get where we need to be , Phil Parkinson will know what is required to get us back into the Championship .
