Of course I know that. It’s got nothing to do with generational points of view but, as Kaito has said, the selfish attitude of a generation, who in my opinion, are willing to risk the future of the health care system for their children and grandchildren. Maybe it’s because they subscribe to the same point of view as you, with regards to “any party would be stupid to privatise the NHS now or in the future”. IT’S ALREADY HAPPENING!
I have grey hair and the younger generation already look on me as well and truly past it. That doesn't stop me feeling jointly responsible for the state of this country and the environment in general, or wanting to do something to protect the greatest natural resource this country has ever had. Even if the younger generations don't think we care, a lot of us do care but unfortunately there are a lot of older people who are not prepared to sacrifice a small part of their own comfort for the sake of their own grandchildren. You don't think the Tory wreckers would touch the NHS? Look at the Tory propelled cuts that wrecked the rail network in the Beeching cuts followed by the British Rail privatisation? Electricity? Gas? Water? Aerospace? Prison Service? Steel? All done in the name of 'progress' and modernisation but the reality was to break up large national institutions, weaken or destroy the unions (and therefore weaken workers rights) and sell them off. I have no beef with you personally, but if you really do feel the Conservatives won't dare touch the NHS you are seriously deluded. People didn't believe a Prime Minister would dare lie to the Queen or treat parliament with utter contempt. That turned out well. If I was hanging by my finger tips from a cliff edge and Boris offered me a hand I would take my chances and let go.
You really think all the older generation didn’t think of their whole family, or how it might affect other people, when making decisions as to which way to vote?? I have to admit that being borne with this fantastic futuristic view as to how our future would go unfortunately seems to have missed so many of us. At least a few of us are realistic enough to realise things sometimes do not go the way you thought they would or even should have done!! For the record I didn’t vote for the party that introduced all those things. I did however understand why they did them and was prepared as was most of the country to give them the benefit of any doubt. But I guess that is where hindsight come into play.........As the young of today would say......you should have known.......

If the Lib Dems really want to Remain, why are they sending false information to constituents, that suggest that their party is the closest challenger for a seat, when in reality it isn’t?
But unsurprising - the so called remain party will risk Boris's Brexit if it gives them a seat at the high table.
Due to the fact that the Lib Dems polled just 8% at the 2017 election and are now at least double it's quite likely that they are in second place in a lot of seats, it just knowing which ones. In a YouGov poll tonight Labour have moved 1% ahead of The Tories. It's not going exactly as Pfeffel planned ! Sorry that was a a Wales poll labour were ahead. However the Tory lead was down to 6% in a Westminster poll.
see, when I was younger, old people voted Tory because they fought in world war 2 and loved Churchill. Old people today have done **** all like that, are the biggest users of the NHS and got great pensions, so why the **** do they vote Tory? twats

Is this election beginning to pan out like that of 1964? At the start of that campaign rhe Tories were well ahead in the opinions but during the course of the campaign Labour' s message got through. As now, Wilson was from the left. The right- wing media ran daily stories of him being a communist and a Labour victory would ruin the economy. We see the same narrative today. IMO a Corbyn victory would be great, especially with regard to the UK's relationship with the USA andN 10's relationship with Murdoch.

A largely working class readership being fed daily lies and misinformation about how good the Tories are and how bad Corbyn is, and they then swing the vote in the Tories favour, time after time. Hey who are you calling a twat? I have never voted for a ****ing Tory in my life and have no intention of starting now. I also voted remain for the sake of my grandchildren and their futures. The one thing I have noticed is that having spoken to a great many people who voted leave they seem not to have a brain cell to share between them.
SORRY Godders, just been visiting my parents and various other relatives over 80. They have indeed lost a few brain cells but unfortunately seem to have retained the 2 or 3 needed to vote. Not sure how many times I heard "Corbyn is a slimy liar, it was great here in the 60s, where's the money coming from?and I just want it all over. I won't go on about the comments about banana boats" You and me will never vote Tory!!!! P.S. my daughter has appeared in one of Jeremy's videos today (she brought a Tory voting friend to his meeting in Gloucester yesterday and now she's voting Labour!) One down!
