After todays performance Cardiff I don't think so, you can see why Shrewsbury after watching today's game have only scored 12 goals in 15 games they could quiet easily have been two up at half-time, midfield was overun in the first half, to me the three in midfield are too similar in playing style. Gareth changed it around a bit at half-time we played really well that first 15-20mins in the second half, Shrewsbury defence did'nt know which way to turn, we should have killed the game then. As they keep saying about Liverpool they always find a way to win. That's what we did today. Having watched the last two home games Shrewsbury played far better than Sunderland a fortnight ago

I agree Phil we were poor in the first half but I also thought so were the Shrews in terrible weather conditions although they had more possession they did very little with is second half we were a lot better and a well deserved goal from Rolando I don't recall Alsop having much to do as the 2 shots they had on target were straight at him. So a good finish to the day after watching anti egg chasing in the morning

remember it is only November mate, Portsmouth were way clear and certs to go up last December 51 points they had at the half way mark , Peterborough, look certs to win the title and SAFC are going to go massive in the transfer market in Jan with our huge investment which has just happened, just saying like.

We aren't expecting anything but we are certainly enjoying it while we can. Staying up was our objective so every point is great news

I'm looking at the other end of the table and we are 20 points off the drop zone and four or five more wins should see us safe if we could get into the playoffs that would be brilliant

Some clubs never learn that just because you have money it does'nt make a football team, look who got Sunderlands winner on Saturday was it the 4millon player or the £500,000 player who has scored 9 goals in 18months for Sunderland, which ain't at all bad for a player who is not even a striker, the 4millon player 4goals & that includes penaltys

The boards of Sunderland didn't think it was only August when promotion was being talked about never mind November. But, there is a huge difference between the expectations of Wycombe compared to Sunderland. If it doesn't come off for Wycombe then most of the supporters will shrug and say it was a decent season while it lasted. However, if Sunderland don't make it again then there will be massive disappointment. Reason of course being previous history and Wycombe fans have learned never to get carried away. That's the story of most of the clubs and supporters from the lower leagues. I also think it doesn't matter how much you have to spend what counts is who you buy and whether they fit into a team or system. It's why premiership players end up playing in league one after successive relagations. They can't cope with the fall and don't want to be there but stay for the cash they are on. I think the secret is to keep your head down, don't expect too much and be joyful when you are proved wrong. I think they call that managed expectation or something of the sort. Believe me I have many seasons of those feelings.

Let's be honest for the majority of football fans it's usually 10% we have had a great year or 90% disapointment
