I know they're probably told to do it, but it really gets on my tits when you hear the crowd swearing then they apologize for it. Doubt anyone is offended by it
it's not just the commentators it's that entire loathsome company I cannot stand ! I absolutely ****ing hate SKY with all my heart … they ruined my television experience.
I hate the banter that they feel they have to have with the twat/pundit/expert they have sat next to them. Think I would rather read one of Pouchy’s posts all the way through. on 2nd thoughts I will stick with the pundits.
Then you have super Sunday with Roy Keane sat there with a face like a slapped arse, has a whinge and everyone thinks it's brilliant TV
The one advantage of Mola TV coverage over Sky is that they don’t have a studio so just show 15minutes of highlights from the first half interspersed with live pictures of those guys replacing the divots. For Newcastle games they concentrate on the divot guys.
I get why the do that but culturally I don't understand the big hang up on most swearing. It's just creative use of language to me. We've made a big deal about a small subset of words for no real reason, I don't think a few are particularly appropriate to be banding around but otherwise j think there is too much of a big deal made about 'swear words'
Years ago, the commentators would not even acknowledge what was coming from the crowd. Be that singing or swearing. If people are offended by football crowd 'noise' then these armchair fans should simply press their Mute button
