Bruce v Rafa

I don't think Bruce signings are ever that bad. Most of the time his teams have been in the prem hasn't they out performed ours?

The hull side he built was excellent.

 

any manager has signed a handful of hald decent players ! if he was so ****ing good why did he end up being sacked everytime ? I am happy to accept he's good enough to coach our pissy club, but he's not to be trusted with signings beyond the odd one or two the scouts agree with him which is what happens in most cases anyway these days.

 

Hope he doesn't sign El Mohammady like he usually does

To answer the question.

If the objective this season was purely to survive, I think Bruce will do his job fine. I know he has had a better start than Rafa last season, but we looked pretty strong second half of that season and I don't think we can replicate that again this year.

I don't think that's entirely Bruce's fault, I think the premier league is actually significantly stronger than it was last year. All three promoted sides are actually good, Hudders and Fulham were whipping boys last year.

If Bruce can finish 12th, I will say he has earned his spot as manager and the fans should back and support him 100%.

As it stands, we are exactly the same as we were last season. So it doesn't make a difference if it's Bruce or Rafa, just a different fat man. One wears a trackie the other wears a suit

 

One things Bruce has done and my god I've been waiting for a decade is that he has identified Paul Dummett as the **** player he real is !!! how man managers have failed to see this and given him game after game is astonishing !! he's never ben good enough from day one and he looks good making last ditch tackles when teams target that side game after game after game, bur he has no ability or composure on the ball whatsoever and simply bots it back to the opposition or in to touch when he could play a simple pass and then come the next wave for him to surf.

 

Robertson is absolutely fantastic. The best left back in the league, if he was English he'd be playing for England.

 

But would he get into the Dutch team?

 

Could he be accused of bias? I'd have gone for Rodgers probably.
