As was mentioned by Alastair Gold a few days ago, Alli used to thrive when there were balls chipped over the top, with both Toby and (to a lesser extent) Dier giving him plenty to feed off from the back. So where have these gone? Toby doesn't play them anywhere near as much, Dier's not on the pitch, and while Gazza can replenish the supply line to some point as he can actually play it long we have been nerfing Alli's game ever since we brought the Air Raid tactics in

First things first, that was an unfortunate injury to Gomes and I wish him a speedy recovery. I thought it was harsh to send off Son, but can see why Atkinson changed his mind from a yellow after he saw the injury, whether doing that is right or wrong, who knows. It was a fair result in the end, a poor game by two teams short of confidence and trying not to lose rather than going for the win, which resulted in both teams making it hard for the other to play quality football. A point is not a bad result away at Everton under the circumstances, regardless of their position in the table.

Now the farce of VAR, both teams had reviews and both teams could possibly have had penalties. It is the inconsistency which drives us mad, if Son was Mane or Salah for eg, he almost certainly gets a penalty, stays on the pitch and his team claim 3 points. The media then put it down to a top team not playing well but finding a way to win. Then you`ve got clowns like Carragher, claiming Son penalty was correctly not given, while at the same time conveniently forgetting about all the soft penalties his beloved Pool enjoy when their players send themselves flying to the floor under far less contact.

    Another one bites the dust.

I make that @vimhawk and @PowerSpurs the only two left who won't utter a negative word against Poch. And good on them too. The flip-side of the coin is always necessary to create a thriving debate.

It wouldn't hurt for,one day, Poch sitting down and listening to fans perspective. He might learn something that fans can see from the terraces that he can't see with the benchwarmers......heaven forbid!

I’m all for giving him time to assimilate the new signings, etc, but I cannot support his current team selections or his bizarre substitutions

Why keep playing Eriksen, ffs? You might as well stick your old fridge out there on the park.

There was more contact on Mane yesterday when the Villa player stamped on his foot then there was today on Son. Sure, like Son he went down in instalments for his pains, but unlike Son (and Richarlison) he was booked for simulation when, at most, it was exaggeration.

Like Salah, Mane is a repeat offender, it is about time he was yellow carded for diving instead of the usual gift of a penalty kick <ok>

We won a trophy in 1999 but I have no fond memories of that season cos the football was turgid beyond belief.

We won our lsst in 2008 and I loved that season cos we attempted to play good football

Our league form was rubbish both times...think we finshed 10th each time but in 2007/08 season I remember a
    3-3 away to fulham
    2-2 away to liverpool
2-3 loss at home to Birmingham
    4-4 with Villa
    4-4 with Chelsea
    5-1 with Fulham
    That's without the cup run.

For me football is about the memories, excitement, joy etc.

I will always remember the past 5 seasons cos of the excitement and joy they have bought.

Off the top of my head there has been...
    • Our first away win at chelsea in 30 years
    • 5-3 win over chelsea
    • That Dele goal v Palace
    • The 2-2 at anfield
    • The 4-3 v wycombe in the fa cup
    • The 3-2 v west ham when we were losing 2-1 in the 88th min.
    • Beating Liverpool 4-1
    • Beating united 3 nil
    • Beating chelsea 3-1 at wembley and that Son goal
    • Beating Real Madrid
    • Drawing away to Barca when we should have won
    • Beating Dortmund home & away
    • Battering Arsenal at Wembley but clinging on at the end
    • Lamela scoring THAT goal in the EL snd Kane being in goal sfter scoring a hat trick
    • Beating Leicester 6-0 away
    • Beating Hull 7-1 away
    • Most of the home games in our final season at WHL
    • Beating Man City 2-0
    • Beating Southampton this season after going to 10 men ... mainly cos of Lloris...a huge screw up and a couple of world class saves
    • Beating Everton 6-2 away
    • The 2 all draw at city
    • The 4-2 loss in the fa cup semi final...a brilliant match
    • The 1 nil loss to United at wembley...we played so well.
    • The City quarter final, both legs
    • The second leg v Ajax
    • Beating Hull in a penalty shoot out that went on for ever.
If I looked up our results in that time I am sure there'd be a lot more.

As much as I would love us to win plenty of trophies I want to enjoy watching great games and talking about them.

Think I am in a small minority but it's how I see it.

Hahaha! And you have Son and Lamella in your squad. Feller, we had a VAR ref (the same tit with the whistle today) provably moving the lines to show Bobby was offside yesterday when he wasn't because he wanted to support the on-field decision (since when did offside become 'subjective'?). You've done really well with VAR in the last two seasons - get that chip off your shoulder.

Add me to that long list.
Without Kane and Lamella, Eriksen was always going to start. Yes , he should be subbed, but N'dombele was on a yellow and Richarlison was going down at every opportunity.
Ref cost us the game -not Poch.
And that is not the first time this season. How different would the season look if we were given the 4 penalties in 11 games that we deserved. (That 'pool would definitely have been given. Even Man U last week against Norwich got 1 that we wouldn't. Not for the first time a defender who can't reach the ball dives in front of our attacker to stop him, which is deemed not a foul. What is the defender doing diving in front? )
How was the foul on Lo Celso not even a yellow?

I've said it before and I am even more convinced The game is corrupt-not just in England. Big bucks have ruined the game. I wish I wasn't addicted.
Man Utd were the last team to win the league fairly. we may have complained about Fergie time and how he influenced refs but it wasn't money. Look at who now wins. Dirty money.
ENIC aren't only not willing to fork out on player purchases but they won't line the pockets of those who run the game.
Refs don't talk to the media so it is all hidden.
There is no other explanation as to why certain teams constantly get decisions that others don't.

Yep, we could easily have 6 - 9 more points if things went our way, Dele rugby tackled at The Degenerates and Kane shoved in the back.... no pens given, Kane blatantly fouled in the box against Newcastle but Mike Dean thought he would give us nothing all game because Poch called him out last season at Burnley, the Leicester VAR offside farce, todays game etc etc. All this creates momentum and with that performances improve. I`m sure we`ve had moments of good luck also, but nowhere near the amount of bad luck we`ve had so far. Then you see certain other teams that play in a red shirt benefiting from game changing decisions on a regular basis, there is more to it than just plain old good luck.

I don’t need to say anything negative about Poch because every time I come on here everything has already been said. Poch makes loads of mistakes....the problem is that anyone we replace him with will likely make more. He has a 55% win ratio at Spurs. No other Spurs manager has been above 50%. What we certainly won’t get is someone who gets everything right that Poch does plus a few more.
