Sunderland fan here, sad to see the injury, but never a red card for Son. He landed awkwardly after the tackle, which has caused the Injury. Ref felt the pressure of digne acting like a complete w anker. Yellow at most for me.
Yep agree Sad But never a red to son, he barely touched gomes I think Aurier knew it was him that caused the break but saying caused is wrong that was just one of those things that can happen in football. Son possibly couldnt have carried on anyway looked very upset.
Now this is a situation where I’d utilise Winks. Often said his ability to slow the play down and keep the ball is ideal when retaining a close lead with 10 or so mins remaining.
****ing atrocious and outrageous decision again from Atkinson. Much sympathy for Gomes (that's a year out), but a yellow at most for Son. The poor guy fell and caught his leg in the damp turf, much as Cisse and McAteer for us (I'm sure you all own have your own examples) many years ago. Atkinson needs to be dropped from the top flight referees now, no matter how much Sheik Mansour is paying him and the Prem League.
