Not sure about all of them. Shaw was the most expensive teenager in history when we sold him, which must have meant something. Victor and Morgan were up there as well.
Big clubs want big strikers. It's one thing for a big club to sign, say, a RB from a smaller club. But you very rarely see them sign a striker from a smaller club these days. Hence why I'm not surprised why Wilson hasn't been signed up. King in my view is nowhere near good enough to play for a big six club, and I'd also have serious reservations about Fraser. He might well move to one next summer, due to his contract being up, but that would be more because the big clubs wouldn't be putting down a transfer fee for him. A risk-free punt. Ake for me is the only one. And given that he's experienced playing for Chelsea before, behind the scenes he might not be hankering for that once-in-a-lifetime move. Because for him, it wouldn't be.
Leicester will exit today with a 6 point gap over Arsenal, 10 over Man Utd, and a minimum of 8 over Spurs.
What level of crazy is going on where Sheff Utd & Brighton are in the top eight even though they have both lost at home to us. Bonkers.
Not a good thing for us, definitely. After 11 matches last year, there were seven teams with less than 10 points, so our bad start wasn't irrecoverable. But with so many teams picking up points, we're going to need to start getting wins, and soon.
If you look at that table, it really is amazing how our matches have been limited almost totally to the top half. We've played 11 teams in the league and the only team in the bottom 9 we've played is Spurs. edit: and Burnley, that was so long ago i had forgotten.
Yeah, I know we've only seen the one replay, so it's difficult to comment with any certainty, but I didn't get the feeling it was a red card.
Not in my book a red card. I felt for him as he was distraught to see the effect of his foul on him. Not red and no malice.
Also, I planned Sunday roast to perfection. Cook in the kitchen watching footie whilst Mrs No7 is in the lounge and then serve up at full time. 12 mins of extra time has screwed it a bit "Oh Mrs No7, be another 12 mins as the potatoes aren't done"
That could be gomes career, was horrible. His foot was over 90 degrees in the wrong direction from what I saw. Hope he recovers.
So unless we win 6-0 (or more) next game, we'll still be in the bottom three regardless of the outcome. That's not a nice position to be in. Norwich v Watford is the Friday night game. If that's a draw, and we lose, a gap will have opened up above the three of us..
