If it's too busy like proper rammed he will feel uncomfortable not a wuss just thinking more for the bairns sake.

How busy does it get after the match?

It can get a bit busy heading up to Cleadon but the traffic keeps moving steadily

Yeh it’s easy for us to get the supporters bus but that means very little drink if any
However we sometimes get service bus into town few beers then walk over bridge to ground
    Then supporters bus back
But our kid dosnt like the walk from the town to the ground so that’s few and far between

I park in the Stadium of Light Metro Station, £1 all day, free after 1700, and free Sundays and Bank Holidays. Not far to walk through the back streets but a bit of a sod to get out of after the game going north.

It's closed from 20:00 on Friday till 06:00 Monday this weekend so fine for commuting traffic. Sometimes its the northbound lanes, sometimes the south. You can usually get more info here

I don't get the Metro mate, I just park in the car park (just next to Tescos where you parked), plenty of spaces and 5 minute walk from the ground.

    I don't think so.

I did my shopping once in the morning at Chester le Street Tesco then got home and remembered something I'd forgotten. The bairn had footy training that night, so I nipped back to Tesco on our way home. Got a parking ticket claiming I'd been in the car park from the morning until the evening! I disputed that one like and didn't have to pay.
