Mcgeady is so frustrating to watch at times. I thought he was poor today and always seems to slow our play down by trying to score a worldy. When he had the ball I watched Grigg and he made a few runs waiting for a cross that never came. Sometimes I wish he was more like Summerbee and just put it in. No doubt he is talented but he needs to mix his play up.

He certainly does. The odd step over and cut in then shot is fine but not every time he gets it. Just fizz it across the 6 yard box for Grigg to tap in.

Seems the new goalkeeping coach isn't well thought of by Bolton fans.

Wonder if that is because he has left them?

We may have swooped him on the cheap due to their situation.

^^ this. as many have said, he is too ponderous or tries to take on too many players and bang in a worldy. No 10 is the best spot for him as we need pace and balls in off the wings - you have to attack quickly not let the oppo get back and defend.

McGeady & Maguire to scrap it out for the No 10 to keep the pressure on their game.

and another striking option up top in January

McGeady played better today imo, more energetic, but there was a couple of time he was a greedy McGeady when there was an option for a quick pass to a player in a better position.

Well the fact that Denver Hume is my MoM, he plays LB... but it was his attacking play that he was good at. His cross for 09's goal.

It was a sort of comfortable win, if 1-0 can be...

I guess we are hanging on near the top of the table... but we do need to have a huge increase in performance...

    And strikers who can score!

He’s just class, from the moment he posted that video packing the car to drive up and sign, he’s everything a fan wants from a player, hard working, commitment and a fantastic attitude

In the league of 'making stuff happen through sheer willpower' O'Nein has to be up there with any current player in any team.

There are plenty of players that have been top class without being blessed with the silky skills of Messi, and I believe this lad has the drive to make it - hopefully with us as we step up the leagues.

I'd like him to be established in the side first but he does have all the attributes. Rare for us to have a CM who can put a tackle in and win a header, nice two footed passing out to the wings and he's already got a goal or two. Canny player I reckon.

Yeah he's only what, 21? Quite a big lad too. Reminds me a bit of O'Nien attitude wise, I get the impression they're mates off the pitch.
