Not everyone's cup of tea but I loved Andre Ward as a boxer. Extremely talented made some very good fighters look very average
One of the greatest of all time in my opinion. Plus he is easily one of the most intelligent/articulate pundits/analysts in the boxing world today.
Them “fitting” white joggers were not what I needed. Canelo’s tool almost took the ring girls eye out Talk about there being an elephant in the room
He doesnt have it in him anymore. As Andre ward said, he is just plain old Sergey Kovalev, hes not the Krusher anymore.
Just a thought gents. When Canelo fought GGG the first time, GGG probably wasn't the fighter he was a year or two before. I think Jacobs maybe exposed him a little in their bout when it went to points. GGG was a month off 35 at the time. At this stage, people were starting to wonder if GGG was the man he once was. 6 months later he lost a split decision to Canelo. So my question is. If Canelo had so much trouble in winning his two fights, buy split and majority decisions, (against maybe a fading star) can a fading Light Heavyweight star with some pop left, as well as a heap of height and reach advantage, have a much better chance that the bookies think?
Can certainly see your angle Cyc and it’s perfectly reasonable, but I think the overarching feeling is that Kovalev isn’t the same fighter he once was. Yarde had him in some serious trouble and we know he doesn’t like body shots- I think he will get worn down.
Every now and then, someone commits to paper, a seriously well written piece of prose. The article below was published on a site called The Sweet Science by a gent named Matt McGrain. It's titled. Nonito Donaire and The Monster. The bout takes place this Thursday in Japan. https://tss.ib.tv/boxing/featured-b...-results/61305-nonito-donaire-and-the-monster
