Barnsley v Bristol City

Our position in the league won’t bother me too much, points wise we are still doing pretty well, at this point in the season its more about picking up as many points as possible, it’s the way we are playing that’s bothering me. We look a yard short aren’t playing well.

Our long term injuries are catching up with us, it is a matter of hanging in there until they start to return ,

We’ve also missed Fam the last two games, we need to get off Fams back, we do it all the time as a fan base , we need to get behind our players don’t pick out individuals to criticise , now FF is gone it’s shifted even more to Fam, i wonder would their first goal have been scored had Fam been playing, watch how many times he wins headers from corners in our box.

 

That was a shower of brown stuff last night.

I am a big critic off Fammy but we need him as he is the only outlet for goals.

Funny thing about the way this is going is that despite the absolute crap we've been turning out, if we can beat Brum at home today and then get a result against you lot next weekend, we'll only be a point behind you - that's frightening.

I have to say that if we can get anywhere near the top 6 by Christmas, then I'd fancy our chances more than yours of finishing the job in the second half of the season.

I also have to say that could be despite Warnock as much as because of him.

A midfield of Eliaisson, O'Dowda, Massengo, Rowe and Perriera was hardly helpful in closing out the game

Certainly without Bentley we would have lost, think we expect to much of the young French lad ran his socks off ok was off his game last night but so was most of the others.
Yep we all know what we are lacking our strikers but after being 2-0 nil up (don't know how) we should have had enough to see the game out, looking at that last night mid table is about where we are, to be honest unless our returning players can turn it around that's about where we will finish.

 

As was dasilva , Nagy , and Browhill,the point SMH was making was the players he mentioned were either bought as squad players rookies or having to play out of position because of injuries. So can’t really see the relevance of who bought them, Corrie was missing too but obv not bought by LJ

 

You watched our game , you must be a sucker for punishment, I found it difficult to watch and it was my team, but for you to sit through it , fair play, I’ve not watched Cardiff but surely you can’t be as bad as we were last night . If we don’t improve considerably when we play you I’m sure you’ll beat us convincingly, however we do seem to raise our game when we play stronger sides , so who knows.

 

So Eliason, Massengo and O'Dowda are £10 million Rookies.

Just got back from our game today - that was one mighty tussle - can't wait for next Sunday.

 

Blimey guys, let's get real....half our team out, lost decent players in the summer,playing not like we should, but just a few points away from top two.......and we are not fighting relegation. moan, moan, bloody moan...

 

Now you are being pedantic, I will spell it out for you.Elliason and Odowda , were the playing out of position element of my post, Massengo , is an 18 year old rookie, who is plainly being used much more than intended due to injuries.

 

You're making excuses for an awful display against a club with no resources compared with ours.
But for Bentley it would have been Luton all over again - another club promoted from League 1 fighting a relegation battle.
