Do the people dishing out this abuse understand the damage they are doing to our club? Who on earth would want to own us when this is happening?

I've come to the realisation that it's not our fans, it's just our dog **** society.

 

I think the best way to deal with the nuggets who make these threats is to name and shame them like Mary Beard used to.

It's a really unpleasant and dark side of social media which needs to be brought into the light rather than referred to or ignored.

 

It is horrible and embarrassing for decent fans but any prominent public figure has to accept that they aren't going to be universally loved and they will get pelters from anonymous ****ers on the internet. I don't think that Donald needs to hide away or feel like he should.

In an ideal world these freaks would grow up and quit their bullshit but it's not going to happen unfortunately. I'd like to think that he's intelligent enough to realise that a) death threats etc are as hollow and empty as the spaces between stars b) people like that don't represent the average fan or people who pay to go to talk ins.

 

Internet abuse is one thing, but he has also had to stop attending games because of abuse as well.. I just can't comprehend the mentality of these people.

 

Me neither mate it's ****ed up. I don't think he does have to stop attending games though, he just doesn't want to. Which is fair enough but I would like to see him rise above it or the ****ers have won.

 

I like Stewart but imo he needs too grow a pair he promised 100 points

 

If anyone has directly threatened him or his family, it is clearly unacceptable, but I don’t sense that amongst our fans we just want less conversation and more action.

If you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

 

I imagine Mike Ashley's inbox makes Stew's look like an episode of Balamory in comparison but he gets on with it and couldn't care less about their bellyaching.

 

According to the wise ****ers of the SMB he should just man up.

 

Just like with us, it's the vocal minority letting everyone down. I would bet big money Xhaka will get a huge cheer when his name is announced this afternoon from the vast majority of Arsenal fans at the Emirates.

Similarly, wouldn't it be ****ing brilliant if the sensible majority could get a song going for Stewy to say thank you at today's game?! Doesn't have to be anything fancy, just the standard "woooooaaahhh Stewart Donald" (to tune of Seven Nation Army) I'm sure would mean a lot to him.

 

Tbf Murray was getting pelters right up until he left and iirc he got threatened while out at a restaurant with friends and family.
That was way out of order too.
Never underestimate the moronic mindset of a small minority of a club's supporters.
We all have our monkey chanters, misogynists and madmen.
It just gives them the oxygen they dont deserve if they get the slightest inkling that what they are doing has the slightest credibility.

As a regular attender I've never seen or heard any abuse of Donald. A few arse holes on twitter isn't the lowest point in our history. Finishing 5th in league one was.

 

I'm talking about the ones insinuating that he should man up just because he's getting some abuse and so called death threats on Twitter from some of our so called fans. That's ****ing out of order in my book sorry. People who resort to that sort of bollocks are scum.
