    That current scoreline puts Man U and Everton 16th and 17th in the league

    Shows how tightly bunched the mid table teams are. One win can move them 8 or 9 places. One step either from relegation or Europe.

    From the article which wasted precious minutes of my life i will never get back;
    Opta's expected goals (xG), a metric which measures the true value of chances in front of goal

    What? Surely the true value of a chance in front of goal is, perhaps just maybe, ... a goal?

    In a media plagued by a plethora of pointless articles, this plumbs new depths of pointlessness. It just seems an exercise in ways to get us off the top of the table and see if they can get Man U any higher than reality appears to have put them.
    If they can find stats that show anything different, then all that does is demonstrate once again how ****ing useless stats are.
    This whole xG thing is baffling in its stupidity.

    I suppose you could create quality chances but have Rashford up front...

    All I gathered from those 'alternative' tables are that City have more chances and shots than us but clearly don't finish them off. Maybe that's why they're second and not currently first. Shock horror.

    #bbcsalford headline: Man Utd offer free travel to Astana for those affected by Thomas Cook collapse

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50261119

    Sounds like good news right?

    But read to the end and they admit City, Liverpool, Chelsea also used Thomas Cook but sorted things for their fans ages ago

    Jürgen Klopp up for Premier League Manager of the Month award

    Jürgen Klopp has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for October.

    The Liverpool boss is in contention to receive the accolade for the third consecutive month after winning it in August and September.

    Victories over Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur sandwiched a 1-1 draw at Manchester United as the unbeaten Reds retained their spot at the top of the table during October.

    Klopp is up against Frank Lampard, Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers and Dean Smith for the award.

    Massive gushfest on BT Sport over Utd after they’ve beaten a no hope European team, an injury savaged Norwich and a much weakened Chelsea. FFS, anyone would think they’re the form team in the league <doh>
