I’m in the gunners club on Saturday. We normally get the supporters club bus, but meeting up with my nephew on this occasion
Basically anywhere for pint sometimes Been using the vic club lately However transport denotes weather we drink or not
Only have one or two in there, it's a bit of a tradition, been doing same routine for years. Mind, it's more classier than the tavern.
Normally only get to have a few cans in the house before getting the bus. If I get there in time it would be the halfway house, then normally back there after. Still tell the missus that I stop to let the traffic clear, even though since the parking restrictions came in there hasn't really been any bother getting straight away
But parking is ****e. If I drive I park outside the North Star boozer and once you walk to the no parking resident zones you notice the streets are totally empty as no twat has a car anyway.
Really hope it's true that they might find somewhere to build a supporters bar near/ next to the ground. They had one at Rochdale and it makes sense. If they could get it separate from the club catering contract (they need to charge less per pint when competing with local pubs, and would help if they had a better selection), ideally in house, it would be a cracking addition. If I get there early enough I'd always go to a pub rather than going into the ground to have awful lager for £4.60 or whatever it is in a plastic "glass". I would, however, much rather my beer money was going to help the club. Get a proper decent place and it would be packed, and it would even be busy on non match days
That's a fantastic idea, should be a no brainer TBF. Still makes me chuckle though when we play southerners and their supporters are gobsmacked by the price of ale in the pubs up here.
Few years back, spurs fans in the wheatsheaf buying bottles of Bud by the crate. Was apparently two times cheaper than in North London.
