Good lad Smug. I've been an occasional, migrant lurker here for a few weeks, not having much time to join or post and so on. But I did notice the hammer you were taking here, (and in another place!), though this concept in itself is wildly bizarre to me anyway, it's not as if we were all in a big pub! But these guys are now involved, and if they were ever going to be I'd assumed it would always be in this type of understated manner. They would be mad to just put their money and their names to something like this and not have a forward plan. And they won't be mad.

Sticking to your guns is usually worth doing. It's that pit village up bringing! I benefited from it myself.

Mainly true but "the scrap" that they do deserve is for the shambles of recruitment for both full back positions over the Summer. That apart I'm happy enough with them

It won't be just a loan. They could have walked down the street and got one from the bank ffs.

They might have terms of repayment in case of certain circumstances but I doubt they'll be paying them back in monthly installments plus interest. There's something else been agreed. Neither business group are stupid, even if they play in different leagues (£ vs $$$$$). It took months to sort out, no way is it a loan.

From their perspective it makes sense and if arranged like their investment in the Marlins its win win.
They get access to the club and see how it runs and how it could be run
At the end of a period they can take their money out if they want and ( like at marlins ) they get a nice interest payment. I'm sure they will have the ability to either invest further or takeover so why not.
No one should doubt that ( if it is 10m ) that is a monster amount in this league.
Now we need to do it on the pitch
Contrary to the views of many we still have a strong squad ( albeit tainted by ross negativity). A loan or 2 or a cheapo at xmas and there is no reason we cant make play offs. Results may not be as we wanted but our style of play has improved immeasurably under PP.
    Onwards and upwards

That's true, I can understand them struggling to get quality but we needed numbers in at full back and didn't manage it. Any bugger would have done.

Madrox owns Sunderland which owns Sunderland Association Football Club. SAFC have sold £9m shares to Sunderland, and Sunderland have sold £9m shares to Madrox. It was just me being a little pedantic but it's quite an important distinction that Madrox aren't (yet) showing a capital injection, which means it's some sort of a loan into Madrox for now. I'm not being negative - it's a fantastic start and it will hopefully get converted to capital later down the line so that there is no debt in the club's holding company.

Aye, I've more or less got it sorted now. It's actually approx seven and a half hours that she'll have to self cater.

Feel a bit guilty TBF. I broke my ankle and leg last time we played away at Millwall. Was supposed to be on a stag weekend I'd already paid for, I had a double room, she went with me and ferried me around in a wheelchair all weekend, true devotion. LOL.

LOL... Not a chance. They did offer, but there was a large group of them, I would have ended up marooned or filled in LOL.
