Thanks both, can't believe that SP, that Curtis horse was so headstrong again. It does pay to watch the bumpers back after all!
One hit wonder in my book, they let it get loose on the lead and it winged them. If it gets into a race then I fear it will start making mistakes.
I thought there might have been a Longsdon plot in the race he sponsors next but he has pulled his runner. Fascinating to see the Munir animal pitched in against seasoned handicappers on his first chase start for the yard but if anyone can pull something like that off then Newland.
That Munir horse will hack up if they can ever get it to settle. It took out the King horse on the bend!! Kings Odyssey ran a belter
I'd say so, given that you've only got one hurdle/fence before the winning line, horses need to make their places up before straightening for home. If they've not gone fast, you get horses grouped around the turns, some going forwards and others not progressing. It's why I like a horse who is up with the pace, if you come off the turn in front its harder for others to pass.
I've backed Adjourned in the next, he is a big grey horse who impressed me with his racing style in the videos i've watched. The jolly pulled hard enough last time out, and looked a lighter framed sort who might be vulnerable at short prices. Given the relative weakness of the others, it might be a race that falls apart. One that is interesting for the future is Highate Hill, who ran pretty well last time out and looks the sort who needs time and a handicap mark
