Surely we're not taking the CWC seriously? Who does that? It's not the Super Cup. Play this team in the next round, whoever we get. Send the Academy kids to CWC. Save our first team for the Leicester game.
Lallana was shocking. Need to wrap our first 11 in cotton wool. Not sure we should even risk them in the CL. Just unwrap them for league games. Oh, and get a few players in in January.
I didn't see it, but saw Origi's equaliser this morning. He even looked like he purposely placed that
****ing hell. Both manc clubs get piss easy draws and the Liverpool clubs get prem opposition. ****ing typical
Just this once we needed one of those easy draws. Villa get a free pass to the semi final now - no way we can play a strong team in the competition.
Just watching the highlights again, Origi cracks me up after he scores, the mans just pure lathargic Like when he scored the CL final winner, just chilled as **** I'd deffo get stoned with big div

City only play PL teams when there's literally no option. Last year had SF of City, Spurs, Chelsea, and Burton Albion. So of course they drew Burton but then had to play Chelsea in the final. The year before had SF of City, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Bristol. So of course they drew Bristol but then had to play Arsenal in the final.
I am not sure why there is all this hullabaloo about playing next fixture. Just play the tie on nearest league fixture date and rearrange the league fixture later in season
It’s alright we are bagging the easy draw in the semi lol Actually can see Villa going for this and wouldn’t blame them
Definite misquote there. He was talking along the lines of having games so close together and can't play two games at once so he simply won't be able to take a team to one of them if the fixture list doesn't change. I don't expect any real changes to that starting XI even if it's Villa. It's not a big priority for us and we've got too many games to play anyway. Send the kids out again, who cares. Win is a bonus. Experience and a loss is still fine.
Agree with this. I actually like the experience the young lads are getting and I was happy to see Brewster overcome the physicality and looked better as the game wore on. This and the FA cup are the only competitions the gaffer can guarantee some of these lads games and this should help us identify those that can step up in the event injuries to the first team squad occur.
From those who played last night only Jones, Brewster and Williams impressed. Jones is getting better and better imo.
The Dutch kid is a kid. A child in CB terms. Elliott gave one brilliant cross that Origi missed: the rest was iffy touches. But only Brewster is ready to be on the bench, and that is worrying. Given up on Keita, Lallana was dire and let's hope Milner doesn't have to fill in at full back again, because he's not what he was two years ago. He can still operate in a four-man midfield, so we can bring him in late on some games. I am worried what happens when any of our first eleven inevitably gets injured, as we're seeing with Matip now. Just can't loan anyone, let alone Brewster, out in Jan - in fact, if we're not getting anyone in, we could do with even bringing Wilson back.
